"The Shikitei is right on the edge of Nara Park - essentially it is in the park. In terms of position it couldn't be better.
It had all the comforts of a ryokan including a great onsen bath,, and wonderful staff.
I can't recommend it more highly."

"Great hotel. Very close to the Nara Station and can walk down the street for dining and things to do. Room itself was fairly large compared some of our other accommodations. Room was clean and reasonably priced for 2 day stay. "

"The hotel is conveniently located near subways stations. There is water dispenser on every floor. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is coin laundry available. A luggage storage room is also available. Big plus for the hotel is, they offer shopping opportunity to a members only shopping mall near by, which offers big discounts on from clothing to accessories to cosmetics to foods. I only wished I saved more time to shop. "
"We mostly used it as a hub while jumping around between Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara but it was perfect. It was only a 5 minute walk to a subway station, and across the street from a 24 hour 7/11"
"Great room - clean, modern and quiet. Really helpful and friendly staff. Really nice outdoor terrace on ground floor. Easy access to metro stations, 7-Eleven and food options. Would definitely stay again. "
