"The laundry room is conveniently on the 4th floor where we stayed. Since it is public, the risk is someone removing your items before you go claim it so I lost some socks due to another guest not removing everything fully from the machine I was using. The dryer definitely needs multiple runs so I wouldn’t suggest heavy fabrics going in. The hotel has a board of cards for items you need (stool, ironing, hair straight, dvd player w/ anime collection nearby). They offer a number of amenities at the front if you forget your razor or toothbrush and other things. There’s a great dry footbath at the entrance to refresh tired feet. The front desk helped us book luggage forwarding to our next hotel for us. It’s very affordable and convenient. "

"Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. The cleanliness and service/staff are excellent. The hotel has a shuttle service that takes you to the train station. Unfortunately, it only runs until the afternoon. The connection to Kyoto is okay. The natural surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and you can be in the forest in a few minutes. This hotel is perfect for people who want to get away from the big cities."

"Really liked this spot because it’s in the middle of Kyoto and Osaka. The hotel is 10/10 there’s a laundry room and a gym room as well as a cafe and Jazz bar which is amazing so much offered by this hotel much better and the price was amazing. "

"My boyfriend and I were traveling to Kyoto. We didn’t realize how far it would be to travel back and forth from the hotel to Kyoto. Luckily the staff was able to give us a refund for the other two nights. They made sure we felt comfortable and that everything was going to be okay. During our stay we got to experience the scenery of the beautiful town and the people were so sweet. The stay wasn’t apart of our itenerary but in a way I’m glad we got to experience a town apart from the city. Highly recommend to get away from the city and explore the beau"

"Nara Hoteal was part of our longer Japan family trip. The hotel has amazing history (Einstein, Japan Royal family, Vaclav Havel .. and many other dignitaries stayed in the hotel over its long history). Hotel itself by now is bit dated, but it has amazing architecture and it is very traditional with beautiful wooden panelings, great bar and garden restaurant - we liked it very much even if we think that JR (Japanese railway company, which owns the hotel currently) should invest a bit into its refit. carets are dated and airconditioning was really noisy. Location is amazing as well - just next to the Nara deer park, which is major attraction in Nara as the formal imperial city,"
