Wonderful stay
Vacation candy does a great job of securing the booking at this resort and making it very easy. This was our 6th time staying at the resort but 3rd time booking through vacation candy. The resort is perfect for those that want pool and beach activity all right in front of you. Excellent for families with kids of all ages.

Great Resort For Large Families
We had a large family reunion for 20+ people including kids. The resort had plenty of common space with pools for everybody and bbq grills. The location was convenient and accommodations were very nice and comfortable.

Christmas in Maui
Wonderful time celebrating Christmas at this amazing resort! Lots of snorkeling in front of the resort. I love how it is a condo resort yet you can still go to a restaurant or order a drink if you feel like it!! A great break for moms who do the cooking!!

Great Place to relax and for families
Although just my husband and I traveled to Maui this time, the Westin Kaanapali was a great resort for us but there were also lots of families and it appears to accomodate them as well. The grounds were beautiful and the condo was clean and well appointed. No complaints at all

Maui Christmas Vacation
Beautiful setting in the middle of the Kaanapali Beach area. Rooms were very accommodating. Beach access was excellent. Snorkeled daily off the beach as it was less than 10 meters offshore. Snorkeling with a turtle was a highlight. Kids really enjoyed the sunrise bike ride from the crater and taking surf lessons in Lahaina. Drive around the NW corner of Maui had some great views and experiences. 80 degrees F daily. Many nice grills to use around complex which worked out great with a large family vacation. Christmas on the beach with Santa arriving by canoe made for some great photos and a special day. Great family vacation.

Beach & pool amenities okay; rooms big and comfortable
Overall okay review; condo itself was good. Family of 3 kids & 2 adults had a corner 2-unit. Overlooking highway & parking lot was loud & not Hawaiian escape-inducing. But amenities were fine; size comfortable. The size of the resort is really big relative to pool options. Pool in south building is small considering # of people there; only 4 jacuzzis on entire resort for what must be thousands of people. Beach is really small--not wide at all. Probably wouldn't come back to Kaanapali at all based on small road to the area and traffic implied.

Truly memorable family Christmas
Our stay at this resort was our first family Christmas vacation. We are a family of eight. My husband and I, our two sons and their spouses and two granddaughters, 6 and 2 1/2. We stayed in adjoining suites. One studio for one son and his family. They shared a king bed and pullout for the kids and a mini kitchen. Our one bedroom suite had a king bed with a balcony, and a pullout for our other son and wife. The only criticism we had was the pullout bed was not at all comfortable.
Our suite had a full kitchen for meals and our Christmas dinner.
The swimming pools were wonderful and clean, kids pool, hot tub and water slide. The beach was a short walk past the pools. Beautiful sandy beach, miles to walk and best of all, snorkelling right from the beach. Perfect!
The hotel staff were always helpful and friendly. One highlight for our granddaughters, was the visit on Christmas Eve, from one of Santa's elves.
A great vacation. One to remember.

Family convenience plus resort facilities; here are some notes for you
Check-in experience was fine. Since we rented a timeshare week, we kept getting the comment "oh great, you're an owner!" which felt awkward to correct. Housekeeping service was quite limited for owner week but we didn't need it. Room was very convenient for family: washer/dryer was great and clothes line above the bathtub was handy, hand-held shower head was good for kids (in addition to the "rain" head up top). They provided crib, high chair, and diaper pail for baby. Restaurants are expensive, and choices felt a bit limited. Kitchen was great - we ordered groceries through their recommended vendor (expensive, but handy) so we could eat breakfast in the room and prepare lunches and snacks for most days plus cook a few dinners, and of course keep milk and adult beverages handy. Kitchen had all the basics to cook, and BBQ grills in the common areas were nice. We loved having a blender for smoothies to have some veggies. Dining room table was large. I was pleased I brought aluminum foil, spices, ziptop bags, tea bags, and bought oil for cooking and honey for teas. They provided one caf and decaf coffee pack and 1-2 tea bags with a couple sugar packs, paper towels, sample size dish soap (which was enough), and 2 dashwasher powder packs (which we rationed and used for 4 dishwasher runs - consider bringing your own if you plan to eat a lot in the room), and a few salt & pepper packets. They provided a laundry pack as well but I brought my own baby-friendly and was glad. Balcony was nice; would have been great if there was a bigger table so we could more comfortably eat out there but we managed anyway with high chair for baby and our portable booster seat with table for toddler, and plates in our laps. They sounded a bit picky about the beach/pool towel cards at first (have to exchange used towels for cards and then return cards at end), but it turns out they didn't seem so worried. Pools were great, including kids pirate pool and water slide (husband enjoyed, but too splashy for toddler) - although I did wish there was more shade in the morning. It was nice to have option to walk over to other sister resort with another kid pool. Beach immediately in front was pretty and fun but rocky under water and fairly thin especially at high tide, plus drop off was quite steep with decent under-tow so kids required attention. You could walk down further (all beaches are public) for more options; looked more sandy and wider. Beach chairs or umbrellas were extra charge. No shade otherwise; we brought a little beach shelter/tent which worked well for baby naps. Shuttles worked well into Lahaina town and Old Lahaina Luau, and other resorts for Whalers Village with some nice (also expensive) restaurants and Black Rock that we didn't visit - we decided not to rent a car for the week since we planned to hang mostly at resort - just note you can't carry on large strollers. Concierge always offered 90-min timeshare sales pitch for $100 resort voucher or other ~$150 discounts but we didn't partake and they weren't pushy about it.

Westin Kaanapali Villas
Love staying here. Our second time. This time Vacation Candy helped us reserve a top floor, ocean-front, corner one-bedroom with an additional pull out couch for our two boys. The resort is super comfortable and the location and views are perfect. One of the best all around family resorts there is. Not luxurious but super good for families. The kitchen supplies are meager. The knives couldn't be duller. The on site market is a rip off. But, the staff are awesome, long-time employees. And we can't wait to go back.

Great resort!
We had a great experience booking with Vacation Candy. We have been to this resort many times and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the garden view room! It was a very nice 1 bedroom with a huge lanai and gorgeous views! Would definitely book again with VC!

GREAT EXPERIENCE
Have stayed on the hotel side of the property, but this was our first time using VacationCandy booking on the "rental" side of the resort and all i can say is I will be booking this again on my next visit. Everything felt exactly the same - check in/out was seamless, had full access to resort and neighboring Westin, rooms were exact copies as well. Communication with VC was thorough and made it very easy - we never had to second guess our reservation and what to expect.
5 STARS!!!! Highly recommend.

Spring Break
We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. The condo was really nice and the hotel amenities were great. We ate in the restaurant and bar near us, used the pool, weight room and laid on the beach. We didn't go this year and I really missed it.
