"This was a one night stay on our way to Edinburgh with our dogs. It was exactly what we needed a comfortable, clean and well equipped room right next to a lovely pub that is also dog friendly. Sonia and the team couldn't do enough for us, fetching water for our dogs after a long journey. Asking if we had everything we needed. We had a good meal that night and a lovely breakfast the following morning. Such a friendly place, we will definitely be back!"

"We had a fantastic one night stay with our family of two adults, two children (11 and 6) and dog. We especially loved exploring the grounds, meeting the peacocks and relaxed dining in the drawing room (Polly the pooch was made very welcome and the service was 5*). The staff were lovely and dealt with all our queries with a smile. The daily tour of the castle was another highlight, with a knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide.
