-----
The cottage is nestled in a rainforest, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. While the hosts make efforts to clear away cobwebs, animal and bird droppings, as well as leaves and debris before guests arrive, they kindly ask guests to understand that the cottage is situated in the habitat of these creatures. Therefore, it's natural for them to rebuild their webs and nests. Appreciating this delicate balance between human habitation and the natural environment adds to the charm of the stay.
-------
There is limited cell service in Port Renfrew, but the cottage has WI-FI. Guest can email, or enable WI-FI calling on their smart phone, or use other application to call such as What's app, or others. There is also a couple pay phone in town if needed. Current cell phone providers that work in the area are Rogers, Fido, Shaw and limited Telus.

We had a great day/evening at Handsome Dan's. The check-in process was smooth and efficient and the location was great for not having a car.
The only challenge was that we had to take our trash with us as they require it to be taken to the transfer station 600m away from town.
Great, quiet. Driveway is a little overgrown but the place was clean and completely useable. The information was helpful. Found a few forest giant trees from their excellent maps and directions. They have a sea life guide for botanical beach that is also great ( just take a photo on phone to use at the beach).
Everything was excellent. I will most definitely be back. Was here on a solo trip just me and my dog and the setting was just perfect for the two of us. We had everything we needed to catch some r&r and reset for a few days.
Amazing little cottage with an amazing outdoor deck and hot tub. We loved our stay here with our big dog and can't wait to come back. Cottage was stocked with pots/pans/cutlery/basic seasoning and cooking tools. Extra linens were plentiful and everything was very neat and tidy upon arrival.
Thanks. Lovely stay. Comfortable, well-appointed cabin. Thanks very much!

Big trees close by.
Property appears to be rundown, not inside, but the sundeck and gates which need attention. In spite of this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Finally, compared with our stays in Victoria, in a floating house, and in Nanaimo, yards from a beach, we found the stay to be overpriced.
