"I’ve been staying here for years for work. Yes they require 100 cash deposit. Yes, they can be rude. Yes, the area isn’t the best. But they are good people, friendly most of the time "

"This was my absolute worst hotels.com experience hands down. The room was so dirty that I tried to cancel my reservation, a first ever. And I’ve stayed in some funky places but this takes the cake. The furniture had crusty stains like 3-D stains, the remote control was covered in some kind of sticky goo, sheets stained, burn holes in the blanket, bathroom was a nightmare. Had to wake up at 4am to catch a flight. There was a prostitute coming in and out of an open room, homeless guy (very nice...

"For the price it was good. The staff was friendly and we were upgraded to 2 queens because the request of a king was not cleaned yet. We got a room on the third floor at the very end. I also liked the location because the freeway was a block away."

"My stay at the highlander is always comfortable, I actually love that it's peaceful the rooms are clean always staff are friendly id rate it overall a ten."
"The property was absolutely beautiful. I chose it for a reunion of 5 high school buddies from 4 states who had never been to Oakland. We celebrated 58 years of friendship. They loved it! The kitchen was well equipped and each bedroom was quite comfortable. The host was very responsive."
"The entire place was very clean, no amenity was left out and lots of special touches.
You could hear the next door neighbors, very lively and noisy.
Management failed to notify us on two separate occasions that plumber/neighbor was shutting off the water. He knocked at the door to let us know. Management should have communicated this, not the plumber/neighbor. As a senior/older persons it made us feel unsafe.
I did notify management of the plumber as well."
True View - Oakland/Berkeley/San Francisco Retreat

Main House + Guest Unit! 5 Bed / 3.5 Bath, Oakland Hills
10/10 Excellent
"We booked this property on fairly short notice after another reservation was canceled on us, and we felt fortunate to find such a nice spot to be our home base for our daughter's dropoff for her first year at UC Berkeley. The safe and beautiful location was ideal for our last-minute Target/Ikea/etc. runs and it was easy to get DoorDash and enjoy home meals with the gorgeous view. We also had some nice meals out, especially dinner at Lake Chalet on Lake Merritt and lunch outdoors at Broderick Roadhouse in Walnut Creek, as well as Super Duper Burgers near campus for a quick and convenient meal. If you're hoping to use the pool, be ready to use the skimmer because it's beautifully wooded around the property, and splurge on the heating option because even in late August it was chilly without. Our hosts were super polite and responsive and we can see why they will soon be achieving super host status!"
