"What a beautiful experience we had at the ryokan. A perfect setting overlooking the lake, quiet, no noise from the town below. The staff was very kind and courteous, always helpful in assisting us with our questions. We learned about Japanese culture and had a wonderful experience; definitely get the dinner, it was worth it. "Magical, simply magical. That is the only way to describe this place. From arrival to egress, the people there made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Breakfast and Dinner were served everyday and you do NOT want to miss them. I'm a large guy and I thought I wouldn't get full, I was wrong. The Ryokan is immaculate and the grounds are spectacular. We had planned to spend a day in Kyoto but we spend so much time wandering around the shrines, shops, cafes, and coffee houses we never made it into the city. This place was perfect. I can't recommend it enough! "
