"Beautiful historical hotel with nicely appointed rooms and comfortable linens. There was no microwave or refrigerator in our room which I neglected to notice when I made the reservation. The room had a balcony and it was lovely to sit outside above the hustle and bustle on the street and enjoy a glass on wine before dinner! It was quiet inside the room; I never heard other guests or traffic outside. The only drawback was that there were no handrails or towel bars in the bathroom. "

"I stayed at this hotel before but it was many years ago. Not much has changed. It’s conveniently located to most things that you would want to do or see in Richmond. The only complaint that I had during this particular stay was that someone left their dog in the room unattended and it barked all evening during our first night. Apparently there were others that stayed in the same floor with the same complaint. The dog was obviously in distress and I’m certain that it probably clawed and damaged...

"The room was good, clean, and even had little dove bottles of soap and shampoo. Front desk person was very friendly and got us checked in quick. Only complaint was the entire hotel smelled like weed which seems to be a trend in this area. I’ve traveled here a few times and all the hotels smell this way which is awful. Additionally we had to listen to stomping all night long from the floor above us. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t too bad. "
