Apartments in Jan Thiel

"We stayed in a 2-bedroom garden view villa. The grounds are very nice, yet the pool at the resort itself (not the ones at the beach club, which is a totally separate area) looked abandoned and not well-maintained. The villa was generally clean, but there was A LOT of wear and tear. There is nothing the resort's cleaning staff can do with the state of the villa; it needs a renovation. This is not a 4-star property for sure (though I am quite confident it was 5-7 years ago); now it gives a 2-3-star feel. Everything that can be scratched is scratched; everything will benefit from an extra coat of paint or two; windows and doors are either not working or working funny. As other reviewers mentioned, the AC works in bedrooms but not in bathrooms or the living area. This was an architectural decision that has pros and cons - you just need to be aware."

"We came to Curacao for vacation with a large group of family members-11 total people. We thoroughly enjoyed the space and everyone had their own private room and bathroom. The accommodations were great and all the amenities provided all the comforts of home. We all enjoyed the pool, the area and the convenience of being close to places we wanted to see. Having the ability to walk down the block to Jan Thiel Beach Club, the supermarket and even restaurants also was nice for the young adults too in the evening. Wish we had more time to discover more of the wonderful places the island had to offer! Definitely will be back soon to explore some more!"

"What a WONDERFUL stay! The house is less than a 5 minute walk to Jan Thiel beach which has some incredible restaurants, beach cabanas, and shops. This is a great place to stay on the island! The house and pool area have a wonderful breeze all day (we were in April) and the bedrooms cool down very quickly at night with the mini-splits. We only ran the A/C in the bedrooms at night and were well within the included electricity range. 10/10 for this property - highly recommend!"

"Not easy assesible for elderly or with injury or leg problems. To dark at night Pools were great but a lot of walking"

"The property was fantastic! The grounds very immaculate. Our room was kept spotless. Centrally located to Jan Thiel beach, all the restaurants and nightlife. There is a great hike available that will take you to gorgeous views of the cliffs and rock formations overlooking the ocean. Salu the restaurant/bar had the best food and drinks on the island. Lance the bartender was great!"

"Loekie is the best hostess. So warm and helpfull. Don't mis the home made breakfast, made fresh every morning. We loved the tranquillety at the landhuis and the beautiful sunsets. You feel at home. "
