Our room was very clean and we felt very welcomed and the restaurant bar and staff were all amazing. Food was great! The Halloween decorations in the lobby were also a great touch. Would stay here again!

Stately hotel in a historic area of Jackson. Easy walking to interesting shops and quaint restaurants. Our deluxe king room was a little small, but the room was clean and quiet. The lobby was festively decorated for Halloween. The Duke restaurant/bar downstairs was lively and a great place to grab a nightcap. I'd recommend this hotel for those wishing to experience the history, hiking trails and wineries of Amador County.

Really like the historical aspect to the hotel. It was very clean, very well-maintained. Love the location. Parking was a breeze. And Tamara at the front desk was over the top delightful. Can’t wait to come back. Next time, however, I would really like to try the restaurant, the menu looked pretty good.

Location was very convenient to see fourth of July parade the city had, only a few steps away from the building! The staff was great, almost as soon as we checked in they offered if we needed anything to let them know. Next day of check-in I received another text to see how we were doing. That shows staff is very caring of their guests. Room was very clean with a nice balcony. Area of location was close to some sightseeing places, such as Black Chasm Cavern and Indian Grinding State Park in Volcano only about 20 minutes away from hotel. Had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, it was good. The historic hotel decor is lovely. I recommend staying here.

So nice to have plenty of towels! Front desk very helpful and kind. Nice balcony but didn’t know you share it with another room. View wasn’t great, probably wouldn’t pay the extra for a balcony. Very comfortable bed! Carpet throughout the hotel seemed old and had a lot of spots. Understandable it’s a very old but charming hotel. The shower head was amazing, felt like we had a massage 😊 Nice to stay in such a historic hotel, thank you.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The room we had with a king bed was very comfortable, with more than expected room. The only issue was a discrepancy between our booked rate and the higher rate we were charged at the property. I have contacted Expedia and hoping to get the issue resolved.

Historic hotel property that is well kept, but is dark. Our room was loud from A/C units outside our window. Could hear music from bar and kitchen area. Nice staff and decent food. Chef Clayton turned out some good food.
