Desk clerks are rude and lazy. Especially the black chick and the young white dude who wanted to make sure I knew that breakfast room couldn’t be opened at 5am because it was Saturday ( although the food was already prepared and all he had to do was GET OFF HIS CELLPHONE AND TEND TO THE 1 Guest that was there ready to eat!)
I just opened the door and helped myself ( which from the look on his face pissed him off)
This could be a decent hotel if the staff wasn’t so rude…
By the way there appeared to be maybe 10 cars in the parking lot… So it’s not like my wanting a breakfast OR a first floor room would have been too much to accommodate! But as Mrs black told me when I asked for a first floor room “ well you don’t want me to put you in a dirty room do you?”…🤔 it was 8:30pm… why would ALL first floor rooms be dirty at 8:30pm??? So OF COURSE Mrs black put me upstairs ( THEY HAVE NO ELEVATOR) so I had to carry my luggage and gear along with a heavy ice chest UPSTAIRS!
Buyer BEWARE
Stay here and get what they think you deserve!
The room was clean and the staff was mostly friendly. The breakfast wasn’t the best. My only complaint is 45 minutes before check out they deactivated my key making it very hard to get in and out while moving my things out the room.
Then the staff was in the hallway watching me asking how much longer would I be.
My stay was amazing.... the lady that checked me in was extremely nice. She made me feel at home. I usually have something bad to say about a hotel but this one was great. Keep up the good work
1. Entrance into the hotel wrecked of strong marijuana
2. Credit Card authorized before check-in and wasn’t supposed to be until check-in
3. Wanted to pay with a different credit card and use for incidental charges as well, but told your credit card on file has already been authorized, so we’ll just finish with that one. (I was there for a funeral so I didn’t feel like asking for a manager and going back and forth with them).
4. 2nd floor room and wasn’t told or shown that there were 2 flights of stairs in the back corner and no elevator.
5. Checked into the room and that smell was almost as bad as the marijuana smell in the lobby. (Had to go and get a can of Lysol to spray everything down.)
6. Bed not too comfortable
7. Will never stay there again!!!
Suffered the stay for one night, unfortunately because I would be charged either way.
It was very decent for country town inn. Some of the staff was very helpful and friendly. Only issue I had was just the smell being a little off due to the sour mop water. And would’ve been nicer if there were bagels and cream cheese on the breakfast menu. Thank you Hometown Inn!
Kathy at check in was amazing. Pleasurable & accommodating from the moment we walked in. She relocated us from 2nd floor because stairs was an issue for us. Rooms were clean. The beds are very firm. Breakfast was included. If you stay here check at the restaurant next door. Thomasville Grill has a wonderful buffet.
First time ever going to anywhere in Alabama. Went to meet my best friend. The rooms were clean, sheets were fresh and clean, no complaints. The staff was friendly and nice. The location was very accessible to restaurants, Wal-Mart, and other places like Walgreens. Quiet, and they had a great restaurant right behind the hotel with some great food. Would definitely visit and book this stay again!
Have stayed here a few times traveling back anf forth to Alabama football games. It is always clean. The rooms are nice and spacious. The refrigerator was very cold. Only encountered front desk staff so far and they have always been nice, friendly and helpful. Love the decor......especially the veterans theme.

This was a second stay over the summer. It was a quick stay and the only thing we as a family would’ve like to see better of was the breakfast. The breakfast seems to be the bare minimum. Hope that gets better before us visiting again next year.
