"The property is very clean and has everything you need for a large group of people (we had nine). Cot and high chair were provided for the baby. The communication with the host Klemen was excellent. WiFi is good (36Mbps). The location is at the edge of Ljubljana in a pleasant residential area, and has good access to the main ring road. We particularly enjoyed the Cool House restaurant which is just a few minutes’ drive away."

We loved walking to the village and the surrounding country side is absolutely bucolic. Igor was very responsive. I lost my phone and had trouble communicating directly and Igor was accommodating of this glitch. We enjoyed meeting his parents on our last day. They are lovely people."

The only hiccups was the “check-in system” was not working properly when we were doing the check in after the working hours. However, we managed to seek help from this bar at the lobby. The staff of the bar were very helpful! In a word, it was a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend it. "

"We had a great stay at Barrio Alto! The location was amazing for accessing the old city of Ljubljana. We loved being in walking distance to everything, including the castle. The apartment was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the charm of the building as well. Parking was not an issue for us as we’re happy to walk a ways, but if you need to be able to park really close, be sure to look into the options provided by the host."

"Awesome place a block from historic Ljubljana. Comfortable mini apartments with a gated parking lot. We had the basement apartment 3 - maybe the smallest and we thought great place. Can only imagine the other ones. No on-site staff, but don’t let that stop you. Super responsive with messaging. And everything set up with coded key pads. And sent us list of recommended restaurants. Don’t miss the bars and restaurants near John the Baptist church close to Vila Emona."

"An absolute treasure in Europe’s best hidden secret in Ljubljana. The host Grega provides everything you need to get to the place and what is good to see around. This makes it far easier for the traveller new to the town. The apartment overlooks the city river caving at the base of the castle. A large apartment it offers a large ensuites bedroom with an atrium and living room which was converted to the kids bedroom for our stay.
