Good: location, breakfast, overall cleanliness Bad: There is a set on rooms (one on each floor) with window looking into narrow dark vent shaft. On the bottom of it is dust and cigarettes butts. They did move me to a different room when it became available next day. Just keep that in mind.

Dark and dingy room. Window overlooking a wall two feet away. Dirty room carpet. Uncomfortable beds. Walls were so thin you could hear everything in the next door room. Bathroom vent covered in grime. Wifi poor. Suitcases left in reception area were piled up right to the bottom of the stairs causing a hazard. A concern if there was an emergency evacuation! Sullen staff in the breakfast room annoyed when I asked please could I have some milk for the cereal (as there was none.)The plus points were the hotel is in a very convenient area. The reception area and dining room were spotlessly clean. The person cleaning our room was very good too, apart from the vent. A special thank you to the man who brought the iron to my room the first time. He was so lovely and cheerful. There is a fridge in the room. The air con was not working and someone came straight away to fix it. Do not stay here if you are in a room at the back with the wall view.

the room we were allocated had a very nasty smell in the bath room. after day 2 we mentioned this to the reception staff who changed rooms for us. In both rooms the noise from outside was rather loud. rooms were basic but comfortable. breakfast we plentiful and varied.

It’s very close walking distance to all the sightseeing. The receptionist when we checked in was very helpful with anything we needed. Really spacious rooms. I will book in the future again 10/10

The room smelt probably because the carpet needed cleaning. And the staff on reception aren't very friendly and would only talk if you indicated the conversation. Never a good morning or how are you? Ect. Otherwise great location with all the sites easily walkable and great public transport connections.

Have stayed in a number of hotels in Istanbul and this was one of the quietest. Very convenient to walk to aya sofia and blue mosque but so close to Gullhane tram stop to go anywhere or a short walk to Sirkeci to get on marmary metro. Breakfast was standard Turkish.. overall a good stay.. a kettle in room would be nice

small and old room but good location
booked 2 rooms for 4 nights. the hotel is old and lift is slow, can only contain 2 person each time. room is small that does not allow luggage to be opened and carpet is dirty. the bed linens were not changed for 4nights. but location is very convenient. short walk to tram, ferry terminal, hagia sophia, blue mosque, etc.

This property is in excellent shape and location was the most convenient. Everything we wanted to visit was pretty much walkable. Staff at the hotel was very very helpful and went beyond their duty to help out. Will definitely stay here again with my family. The family room was very spacious. Breakfast was good too, even my two teenage boys loved it.

We loved that this was one of the few hotels that had rooms with 3 beds! The room was clean, the breakfast was decent, and the location is unbeatable.

The room didn’t have AC . The rooms are too small . Their pictures are deceiving . We ask the manger to cancel our reservation and refund our money . The manager said we have to go through Expedia for refund and he will approve it . We made the request through Expedia and it was declined by the hotel manger. We lost our money . This a place is a scam . Stay away . No service . They are after you money only.

Hotel Olimpiyat is located at the heart of Istanbul. The room was very clean, even though this hotel is a little bit old, everything was great. Staff was helpful, breakfast was wonderful with variety of Turkish and European food. The only disadvantage was that Wifi was really poor and sometimes didn't work at all (5th floor). But at lobby it worked well.

Hassan specifically was really amazing from the start to the end of our stay here. He ensured we had things to do as it was my first time in Istanbul so he was very reassuring. Alhamdulillah nice conversations too.

Actually the hotel is clean, comfortable and has a good location.. During my staying in hotel, the water in shower was stopped for 2 hours due to maintenance.. I noticed the breakfast was limited in food types..in addition there was no open buffet-breakfast.. There was person, who responsible of giving food which you choose in breakfast.. Apart of that the hotel was suitable and safe for me

The staff here are amazing. Warm, welcome, friendly and went above and beyond to help me with anything I wanted or needed. Room was clean and always supplied with water. Room service was absolutely fantastic. Very close to some of the main attractions in istanbul. Highly recommend this hotel.
