Fantastic stay at Great Hotel
We could not have hoped for a better hotel and sometimes you strike it lucky and this hotel really did deliver. Its a 4* but could easily be a 5*. We stayed for a full week in the junior suite and it was spacious and luxurious. The hi speed wifi is excellent, and each day I logged on for the full day, I had no issues, the internet speed was great and never dropped once. The hotel is well located, minutes from the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque and the breakfast buffet is first class as is the décor and general helpfulness of the staff. Highly recommend this hotel, wanted to extend the stay but no availability for the suites in a really busy end of December period

We stayed at Dosso Dossi hotel for 4 nights on our recent visit to Istanbul and it was very good. Here's a comprehensive review of the hotel. The good(s): 1) We booked an executive room and was provided one on the first floor. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and has other amenities. 2) The location was central within close proximity of Hagia Sophia. Plenty of travel options whether it is by foot, tram or taxi. 3) Breakfast was brilliant and we had a very filling and satisfactory breakfast every day. There were plenty of options with a English and Turkish spread and loads of desserts, puddings and fruits. 4) Staff really go an extra mile. Kudos to the reception team and concierge (apologies didn't note down the names) who were very good and helped with our queries everytime. We also loved the work done by the guy who painted our names in the ottoman style outside breakfast lounge. Can be better: 1) The carpets were really dirty, don't know whether this was due to the weather but they looked very worn and patchy. 2) It was very noisy in the morning. The walls must be thin and as we were close to the stairs, reception and above the kitchen, it got noisy after 6am every day. Road noises weren't that bad despite being on the 1st floor facing off to the streets below. 3) The gym was very well equipped but a bit too congested due to smaller size. Overall a very good hotel, gets a solid 4 star. Highly recommended if you're looking for a hotel,

Great location. Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast OK. Very clean room. Bit outdated furniture and not proper wardrobe. My only disappointment was bed. Not comfy at all, mattress and pilows are not the standard of 4 stars hotel.

Great location - enjoyable stay
I always enjoy my stay at Dosso Dossi hotel in Sultanahmet. It is conveniently located close to many must see sites and there are many shops and restaurants close by. The staff is friendly and the breakfast has a good selection. This time however I was given a room that seemed smaller than the size I had booked and there was barely enough room for my suitcase.

Small room but adequate.
Room small but functional. Comfortable bed, amenities in bathroom and safe provided. Good choice at breakfast. You can pre book an airport taxi for 45 euros (IST) which is about 45 minutes ride away. Good location.

Positives: Convenient access to all the main tourist sites. Negatives: In house service lacking. I asked housekeeping for iron and ironing board about a week ago and still waiting for it and am already back in UK.🙄 Asked for bathroom fan to be fixed and someone came in whilst were out and fixed one light that was faulty but not the fan. When we checked in I asked about the view which was a wall covered with artificial turf and were told curtly that only some rooms have a view at the front...something Expedia needs to make clear in their write up.

Nice property in a good location. Close to many attractions and the tram. Room clean bed comfortable, bathroom sufficient. Carpet needs to be replace it’s old and had many stains. Staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great.

Great location if you want to explore the main sites of Istanbul. Near to all major transport if you want to explore further. The breakfast selection was pretty good if you are vegetarian or vegan.

This hotel was very pleasant. Staff were always available and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a lot of local items on the menu. The location was very convenient for transport (metro and tram) as well as the most historic part of the city. The only reason for 4* instead of 5* was that we were given small double rooms for the first days even though we had booked twin rooms. I would recommend this hotel and would consider going back.

Hotel is located in the old city center, one block from Basilica Cisterns. Friendly staff, airport car arrangements worked well, good breakfast. Room is very small, but comfortable and clean.

Great service at the hotel. The staff were amazing. However, my only complaint is with the airport transfer via the hotel. The transfer service forced an extra Euro 20 from us stating that due to an accident at 6 am, an alternative route would be taken. I checked the navigation before the departure and the roads were clear. The hotel should bring this up for future guests.

This hotel is in mins from main sultan ahmet mosque. Very central and close to a tram station which takes you around area without big taxi fees. Many local cafes and restaurants. staff was very friendly. Small hotel but i was more than happy. Breakfast is was good as well.

My wife and I stayed at this Property in February 2019 and loved it then. This is our 2nd visit and everything about this hotel is fantastic. A really great boutique hotel for a good price with excellent service and great rooms. You must ask for a room with a King Bed and room to be able to pray because their other rooms can be a tight squeeze if you have 4 pieces of luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this Property.

We stayed at this hotel in early 2019 and returned in August 2022. The property then and now has remained in the same excellent state with its service, cleanliness, rooms and staff. I will continue to stay everytime I am flying through Istanbul. I highly recommend it.

I usually stay at 5 star hotels. I chose Dosso Dossi based on the reviews and I have to say that I was not disappointed. The hotel is in an excellent location, staff very helpful and friendly. For sure I'd return and book the Executive Suite again.
