Good for a mini-break
The hotel is ideally located in the north of the old town very near the tram with easy access across the bridge to Karaköy. The service was great (fast check-in, available for questions, happy to arrange a yellow taxi to the airport on short notice), albeit I preferred to find recommendations online than refer to the hotel staff. The room itself was comfortable, modern and clean.

The most perfect stay in the most perfect location
This was the most incredible stay we have experienced. The guest services were incredible. They provided us with the most attentive service, giving us recommendations of all kinds. We took their advice and not once were we disappointed. I could not believe how much the staff at this hotel would do for us. It was simple, perfect.

Service is excellent and highly commended. Front desk has been extremely helpful in securing ring side table for dinner cruise. Staff volunteers to get us hard to come by special Turkish Delights. Overall, excellent experience at this establishment.

Modern, clean, friendly, and located perfectly!!!
Let me summarize my experience: new and modern building and facilities, first class five-star service, best location, and world class breakfast! Emrey and his team could not have made our experience any better. He takes great pride in the service he offers and it shows from the room to the breakfast. The room features sound-proof windows, high capacity air conditioning, comfortable beds, and is immaculately clean. The service from his staff is excellent. They are super friendly, and go above and beyond to take care of you. The location is in Emononu, the central part of Fatih for tourists. It's so easy to walk everywhere! You can go to Sultanahmet (super touristy place with all the landmarks), walk to Kadikoy, take one of many boats on the Bosphorus, and easily take the metro anywhere in the city. The hotel can help you avoid all the tourist traps and provide recommendations on places to eat that will wow you. My wife and I look forward to staying again soon!!!!

The location is perfect for tourists on a short visit of Istanbul since the hotel is within walking distance of most of the main attractions of Istanbul. The staff is very helpful.

Service from receptionist, bar staff and cleaning staff excellent very friendly always looking to help. Location excellent very near the famous top of the list attractions. I would rate it 4 to 5 stars and would recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

This is very well-maintained boutique hotel, located in a quiet corner of old town, yet a very close walk to the main sites. The staff was incredibly helpful, starting before I arrived with tips on what to do and arranging airport transportation, to a warm welcome upon arrival and during my stay. Breakfast was delicious and the room was very warm and welcoming. Thoughtful gifts were included, bottled water, slippers to take with you on your travels, and a package of yummy cookies upon check-out. Would absolutely stay again!

Great hotel, with amazing customer service.
The hotel was very clean and located very close (A 10-minute walk) to the main Istanbul landmarks like Hagia Sophia and the blue mosque. Our stay was made even better thanks to the outstanding care provided to us by Kemal at the front desk, we had so much knowledge of Istanbul and recommended a few things for us to do. Overall a great stay!

Fabulous hotel; friendly staff, great location
Hotel Barbera is a gem. A gorgeous boutique hotel that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough to help you. The location is fabulous for walking to all of the main sights in the Old Town, and for getting to the ferries/tram/or even walk over the the newer part of Istanbul.

We stayed as a couple and from the start were greeted by a very welcoming, pleasant, friendly girl called Ece. We booked having read the reviews which were all outstanding and due to the location of the hotel. All the main tourists spots were walking distance & I would recommend getting a pre booked taxi from the airport to the hotel to save you hassle. We were upgraded at no extra charge on arrival just because the room was available, the pics of the rooms are exactly true to what you get. The hotel is very modern & beautiful, a lot of money has been spent on it. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are ready to cater for your every need. As muslims we are not alcohol drinkers so the alcoholic drinks were removed from the fridge on arrival. We got to know it is a family run hotel and Ece is the daughter of the owner, she speaks amazing English and is one of he most friendly, lovely ppl I have met, she really made this a special stay for us. We got to know her and she didn't hesitate to give us her personal contact number for our stay in Istanbul in case we needed her. Her sister in law & murat were also front of house staff and again were beyond attentive & helpful. Overall everything about Barbera was amazing, I would highly recommend, these people really look after you and won't rip you off. The furniture & fittings of the hotel were very modern & boutique like. We can't wait for our next stay!!!!

Wonderful, pleasing boutique! Hotel up to western standards. Owners made every effort to make stay as comfortable as can be. A hidden gem in the heart of Istanbul
My brother, my mother and I stayed at Barbera hotel from July 2-8, 2016. Nothing but "amazing" can describe our experience. Barbera hotel is a modern cozy hotel situated in the heart of Istanbul; walking distance to major points of interest. The staff are wonderful and made us feel at home. They certainly went above and beyond the call of duty. This establishment surly deserves 5 star plus rating. I would definitely stay there if I were to visit Istanbul again. Thank you for a wonderful time :)

We loved this place we stayed 5 days and its modern with wonderful staff who simply could not do enough to assist us. The location is great close to everything but just a bit out of the hustle. The street it on is a bit boring and looks a bit cold but its 1 street from everything including, trains, trams and ferries.

Every aspect of this hotel was excellent. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful and helped take all the hassle out of travelling. The rooms are modern with all the amenities you need and very comfy beds. Location is great for exploring the sights. We will definitely return in the future.

Affordable High-End Boutique Hotel -Very Central
Our stay at Barbera Hotel was a recommendation from a family friend who visited a month prior to our trip and came across it wishing she had booked there instead. This hotel not only is minutes away from the Grand Bazaar but also within walking distance of several other tourist attractions that were on our list. Everyone at the front desk spoke perfect English and helped us coordinate best times to go where to avoid the crowds and tourist traps. The provided us with the best entrance to enter the Grand Bazaar and even directed us to where we could find specific spices etc. We weren't sure what to expect with the room sizes or restaurant in the hotel (Taze) but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was plenty spacious and had beautiful touches which made it feel like home. Taze was one of the more incredible meals we experienced on this trip with table service like nowhere you'd find in the US. We definitely will be coming back to the Barbera hotel and highly recommend it to others- especially those coming from the US for the first time!

The best hotel in Sirkeci Area
Nice New hotel , excellent location , 50 meters to (marmary) metro station , 100 meters to tramway station . Very comfortable bed , good and new amenities , french balcony in each room . very good AC unit in each room .very good staff and employees (you feel that they are friends to you). Standard breakfast .

El hotel es 100% recomendable. He leído comentarios sobre la escasez del desayuno, lo cual es rotundamente injusto. El desayuno es muy completo y puedes pedir a la carta varios platos que están fabulosos. El servicio es de 12 sobre 10. Todo el mundo se esfuerza por agradar y por hacer la estancia fabulosa. Los chicos del desayuno son muy atentos y profesionales. Los dueños también, al igual que la persona que se ocupa de las habitaciones o el de recepción. Han sobrepasado nuestras expectativas. Me gustó mucho la ubicación del hotel, en la zona vieja de la ciudad, muy cerca de los principales monumentos. El desayuno muy escaso, la zona de bufé fundamentalmente consistía en pan y un poco de mermelada. No había ni tan siquiera un croissant o mantequilla, se hechaba en falta cereales, zumo, agua,...Si qué ofrecen huevos revueltos, o tortilla, bajo petición. Por eso no se ven fotos del bufé en Expedia o Booking, porque es casi inexistente. En cuanto al personal es muy atento y agradable.

Dear Ruben,We actually serve 3 kinds of homemade jam (apricot, strawberry and sour cherry), 5 sorts of cheese, 4 sorts of salami, granola, cereals (corn flakes and choco pops), butter, fruits, yoghurt, nuts, oat meal and even quinoa and flax seeds. We unfortunately do not serve croissants, instead we have fresh turkish bagels, called simit,baked every morning.And we have 2 waiters serving 8 tables, so you could have asked for water anytime, as you mentioned above, we are always happy to help.Best regards
