Never stayed in a guest house before and were very pleased with our experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms had everything we needed including a safe and great hairdryer. Shower had great pressure but the water was very slow to drain away which maybe a blockage? Beds were comfortable, had a great sleep but for me the roof top terrace was perfect to relax on in the evening. I am planning on going back to istanbul soon and i will definitely be staying here again.

If you are looking for a friendly and clean place to stay, this is the one. But let me start from beginning. When you walk in, you are greeted and welcomed by friendly staff. We walked in when the owner and his wife were present and they welcomed us as well. After a very bad experience day ago, with another hotel, we were so relieved to find this place, my wife started crying tears of relief.During our stay we have noticed a very friendly and relaxed but professional atmosphere between the owner and his staff. He is very friendly and polite with each one of them, sits and talks to them. We also noticed that the owner tries to remember each guests name and addresses them with their first name, welcomes you to join him at the table or will join you for a chat. Any questions or wishes we had, he did everything to accommodate them.In this guesthouse you are getting an included breakfast on the terrace, it is a standard but nice breakfast with friendly staff.They also offer laundry service in house, as well as a PCR test with a nurse who comes to the hotel by appointment. Some important note is that manager Mr.Alper is never shy to jump and clean the guesthouse area even though he has his staff.Mr.Alper and his staff are proactive in anyway to make their customers a wonderful and remembered stay at their guesthouse.We loved it here and would definitely come back again to this place. Mr.Alper and wonderful staff of Agora thank you for your outpouring help and service.

The staff are highly helpful. When faced with a small issue the owner and staff found solutions. My room with windows opening onto the courtyard was great. Basic breakfast, which was good for me with fruits cheese eggs and coffee

This place is PERFECT. A spotlessly clean and charming guesthouse, centrally located and within walking distance of the key sights in beautiful Istanbul. The rooms are clean and modern, with all the essentials and plenty of sunlight. The breakfast is huge and tasty, consisting of eggs and hot and cold local mezzes, cheeses, veggies and fruits. And the views from the terrace are among the best in Istanbul, with mosques, sea, and a panorama of Istanbul on hand. What really sets this place apart is the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, who helped me get a Covid test and print about a dozen documents With short notice. I normally don’t write reviews, but this place is outstanding!

Located near Sultanahmet, the Blue Mosque, and the tramline that allows you to range across this magnificent city, Agora is a lovely hostel with welcoming, helpful staff and cute dog. Complimentary breakfast at the rooftop dining area and balcony was a great way to start each day. Facilities were very good. Agora is an excellent choice for the price you will pay.

The booking was misleading, i had booked a room for two when arrived they told me its a room to be shared and room for two are booked the leading road is very narrow only one car can pass, and it's two way for a new person it is very complicated. They refused to cancel and refund.

Dear anonymous guest, Sometimes we see people mistakenly book a bunk bed in a dorm room instead of a private room Ensuite. It did happen several times and looks It will happen again . But this never happened that we refused refund. we,all of us might make accidental bookings like wrong dates iwrong room types etc. If that review is real and you were not refunded Please send us an e-mail than I will get it done as a credit back to your credit card as soon as it is possible. I’ve been traveling to Istanbul several times in the past 3 years and I would book a hotel to stay in. This time I decided to try a new experience and this guesthouse was really great. Clean and cozy facilities with nice rooftop restaurant, friendly staff available 24/7, and great location approximately 6 min walk from Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet station. I really enjoyed staying here! Very easy recommendation.

Memorable First Stay @ Agora!
Stayed in a clean and comfortable newly refurbished room with nice decor. The space was of a decent size, and internet worked well too. Breakfast did lack a little variety, but was sufficient and tasty. Location is also very convenient being in close walking distance to several famous attractions as well as shops and restaurants. The staff were also welcoming and helpful, assisting us with luggage storage and a later checkout. I want to make a special mention of Ms Mai who quickly arranged special delivery of a bag to the airport we had accidentally left behind. Thanks again!

Best Hostel Guesthouse anywhere in the World *****
Arrived in Istanbul new Airport 4am phoned Agora guesthouse about 06;am The response was to encourage me to get a taxi and come right over. After storing my luggage they asked me to stay for breakfast at 8am! All thanks to AdA who seems to be a highly trained Chef! An amazing array of fruit, breads, eggs, even hot pancakes! From the chambermaids to management everyone played their part with an enthusiasm I had never experienced before, This has to be the best run Guesthouse / Hostel I have stayed in anywhere in the World no one else has come close to delivering the complete package of going the extra mile like Agora in Istanbul! Nothing was to much for them! The cleaning lady provided clothes hangers for my own use without me asking! Yousef carried out his duties with great skill at reception no matter how many questions were being asked of him by numerous guests from all over the world. For example I had asked the best way to get to the New International Train Station that had just recently opened. Not easy giving directions when the starting point is in Europe and the Train Station is in Asia. But zYousef put me in touch with the correct member of Staff who wrote down precise instructions on how to get there the mot

Agora Guest war eine Woche unsere Unterkunft und wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Das einzige was uns etwas gestört hat war das für ein Ehepaar der Schrank Etwas zu klein war, kann man eventuell zwei Regale einbauen lassen und das war das einzigste und kleinste Nachteil. Wir würden uns immer wieder gerne für Agora und seine freundlichen Mitarbeiter/innen entscheiden. Vielen Dank nochmals Mit freundlichen Grüßen Jeton und Tugce Krasniqi

Çok güzel karşılama ve ağırlama oldu. Bir sonraki İstanbul seyahatimizde kesinlikle tercih edeceğimiz bir otel . Superbe hôtel où nous avons passé un excellent séjour , durant cette difficile période de covid le personnel a tout mis en œuvre pour être à nos petit soins nous sommes vraiment heureux d’avoir séjourné à l’hôtel Agora et faisons une grande dédicace à Deniz un amour de chien en tout cas je recommande les yeux fermés cet hôtel ❤️
