"The proprietor Rose was clueless about VRBO and stated the room we reserved was already occupied. Her spouse Gino was away for the night - and she didn’t know what to do. I suggested we needed a room for the night, if she would be kind enough to direct us somewhere. We found a 3star hotel 2 blocks away luckily. "Lovely buffet breakfast with healthy, fresh foods. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely, clean room with big bed and plenty of storage space. Ideal location within easy walking distance of good restaurants, shops, castle, etc. Pool looked lovely but didn't get chance to try it out as we were on a rock climbing holiday. Within easy driving distance of Rocha da Pena where we were climbing. Secure, underground carpark. Excellent hotel."
