"It’s definitely not a five star hotel but the staff is incredibly helpful . the floor was not clean saw a few hairs in the bathroom that were not mine. Coffee maker broke down. They brought me another one and when I complained about that one there was silence. But the staff is incredibly nice and always willing to help. Furniture need some serious upgrade in the kitchen area"

"I personally did not have a very good experience staying at this hotel. I called multiple times to ask questions about my check-in and didn’t get answered once. When I arrived in person to the lobby, I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get attended because the receptionist was sitting in her car while there was two people waiting in line. Then on top of that, the room was very dirty, the edges of the bathroom were filthy, and there were crumbs in the AC, as if someone had been eating there. The smell of the room was very strong, as if people had been smoking cigarettes in it. I usually never complain, but to have paid so much money and received what I did, I am not happy with this experience. The pictures online are not what it really is, I felt scammed. If someone had at least answered the phone once I wouldn’t be writing this review, but it was one thing on top of the other. I hope you guys use this feedback as a way to make others experience here better."

Casa Morada

"My room was the Twilight garden view suite. My travel companion stayed in the waterfront Manatee room. Both are sparkling clean, had plenty of bath linens, and a good supply of drinks and snacks. We kept the car in the very convenient parking directly below my suite. There is also plenty of parking at the waterfront rooms. My bed was really comfortable with a variety of pillows for most preferences. The bed linens are good quality. I used the bed in the sitting room for reading and a little TV watching. Malin and Goetz toiletries are fabulous! Nice rain shower and personal shower. Housekeeping staff are lovely. The grounds are lush, gorgeous Old Florida natural with native plants galore. Live, blooming orchids grow in many trees The landscape design is perfect for strolling with my tiny dog. Plenty of seating areas for relaxing, scenic pauses. This feature is one of the reasons for my selection of Casa Morada. I am an 82 year old native Floridian lady who grew up on the Florida Gulf coast. The native plants were a welcome rejuvenation for me. The water front is beautifully designed and I spent a lot of time in the island pagoda. Shout out for receptionist and General Factotum Sam. She was 2 minutes away when my friend had a night time glitch with his TV. Casa Morada is quiet, no elevator noise or raucous partiers. It is adults only. It is not a 5-star hotel. It is a perfect retreat. We really did not want to leave, and plan to return in the Fall."

Bayside Villas by Islander Resort

"Property has main resort approximately 1 mile from the bayside villas. This was not advertised as such, as description made it appear properties were closer. Main resort has more amenities. Our villa floor was dirty throughout, appliances dirty. Advertised as 2 bath, but only 1.5. Wall in half bath covered in unknown substance/residue. Pool at villa dirty upon arrival. Despite all of this, staff was very nice. I reported the issues and team cleaned villa while we were out first day. Maintenance cleaned/painted half bath. Pool was maintenanced by day 3 of stay, although they closed it last day due to broken glass. Beach area not as pictured. Covered in seaweed and not able to swim in water. Kayaks only offered at main resort. Villas would be better kayak experience due to access to mangroves. Bar restaurant overpriced. Cost family of 4 $150 to eat hamburgers and fries."
