After a brief 20 min ferry ride from Cancun, you will be relaxing on your private terrace overlooking the tropical patio and the colorful streets of this authentic Mexican fishing village. This beautifully designed apt. combines the charm of traditional Mexican style with modern comfort where you can enjoy the casual, laid-back lifestyle of this tiny Caribbean island. In addition to the bright and breezy 9' X 16' living room/kitchen area, you have the privacy of 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The calm, pristine sea and friendly community make Isla Mujeres ideal for adults and kids of all ages...twice recommended by Islands magazine as one of the world´s five best islands on which to live! Guaranteed: once you stay here, you won't want to leave.

Payment Methods: A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation which can be paid with a cashier check, personal check, or PayPal (charges to be paid by renter). Please note that the deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due 10 days prior to your arrival. Check- in time is normally 3 pm and check out time is noon. We will have your apt. cleaned and ready with towels for your arrival.
We will be happy to assist you in arranging fishing or diving trips from Isla waterfront a block away from the apt., or day trips to nearby Mayan ruins on the mainland. We can direct you to Isla attractions and the many colorful traditional Mexican community fiestas in the main square...such as New Year's Eve or Carnaval during the week of Mardi Gras...great fun for the whole family. We also suggest a visit to the turtle refuge centre,, , Garrafon coral reef and swimming with the whale sharks in the wild from May thru August.

Enjoy the food.: Your apartment is around the corner from the many good restaurants....Healthy breakfast is the speciality of Elements...Qubano makes great salads or sandwiches for lunch....and for dinner take your pick all along Ave.Hidalgo or try fresh seafood sitting along the sandy waterfront.......dessert for sure should be the fabulous, natural, homemade ice cream at Cool on Ave. Hidalgo. So many restaurants and all moderately priced...sit outdoors and take the time to chat with the owner or other guests. No one is in a hurry so enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Isla......when people pass you on the street, they say 'Buenos Dias'.
Take time to RELAX, kick off your shoes, and remember: you're on vacation!

Isla is kid friendly...local people take their children everywhere and there are always lots of kids on the main square. We advise swimming only on the North Beach where there is calm, very shallow water with no current. Young teens enjoy the downtown scene also.....they won't want to leave.

Clean comfortable place

We are a group of 55+ years old. The place is very conveniently located to North Beach. Walking distance to restaurants as well. We really recommend the place.

Great location!

The location was fantastic! It is within walking distance to ferry, bus line, beach, taco carts, bars, restaurants, and anything else you would need. Miriam greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful when we needed her for a minor issue.

Fantastic location

This property is in a fantastic central location on the north end of the island. It's not fancy, but, the location makes up for it. It's adequate. How much time will you be inside anyway. The balcony is awesome. Water is supplied by owner, huge bonus.

Great location!

The apartment is in a perfect location, close to everything. There was enough space for us with our two sons. The photos on the listing are old photos so the exterior and some of the furniture is different. A couple of small improvements would be more comfortable indoor and outdoor sofas and some new pillows. The owner was very responsive. Miriam, the caretaker, was willing to meet a grocery delivery service prior to our arrival on Christmas Eve, eliminating some stress for us. One big bonus is purified water that is included. It was so nice not to have to be constantly buying bottles of water!

Great location!

We enjoyed a 2 night stay in the condo. Location was perfect. Rented a cart for half day to see Punta Sur but otherwise everything was walkable. This place is right in the heart of it. Because of that there is a lot of street noise and music into the early morning. I use earplugs and had no problem sleeping but some may have trouble. The condo is not new but it was clean. The shower and the king sized bed were great. We also enjoyed the balcony. If you are looking to be out and about all day and have a close place to crash at night, this is it.

Stayed here with my fiancé, my 20 year old son and my best friend. The two bedrooms with two baths were a perfect set up. Location was perfect to reach the beach and eateries. We took the bus to enjoy one of the beach clubs one day. We rented a 24-hour golf cart another day. We needed that cart for the cultural food tour. We enjoyed exploring the island and the turtle’s mating at sunrise at punta Sur. Oh and we went on an Isla contoy trip which is a must do! We stayed for a full week. So fun! We will be back for sure. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Accommodating and Trustworthy

I got my dates wrong and we arrived a day early. I was so worried that we wouldn’t have a place to stay but when we arrived we found Miriam cleaning and she welcomed us in. Actually. The whole neighborhood welcomed us as we walked down the street. Please, if you book this spot, you have to meet Tristian, the young shop owner across the street who helped us with directions, recommendations and more. When we originally arrived, Tristian said, “welcome to the neighborhood my friends!” This location is full of life and gives you a good look into the island locals. Excellent restaurants all around and super close to the beach. Miriam was so trustworthy too. I tried to pay her for the extra day and she insisted I talk to the owner, which I did and paid via VIRBO. Again, accommodating and trustworthy. We will be back!

Our host Miriam was awesome! She communicated prior to our arrival and was very responsive to us and even provided us with an iron when we requested one. She was friendly and helpful with recommendations and with getting a few items "fixed" on the property that were damaged when we arrived, including the toilet seat. The property is in the IDEAL spot. It is steps away from playa centro and short walks away from both the ferry and playa norte. Anything you need is literally 3-5 minutes away. It also has a nice balcony for people watching on the second floor where we stayed. The best thing about this property is its location...on the flip side, I really wish the owner would do some updates on the property to make it more modernized and esthetically pleasing. It could use a good coat of paint, some updated furniture and window dressings. It is just a bit drab, but we didn't spend too much time inside so it wasn't that big an issue. Just more pride in ownership would be great. Overall recommend this cute little condo.

Amazing location to EVERYTHING, 3 blocks walk from the ferry terminal no need for a taxi. Accommodations was nice with a lovely terrace where you can sit a watch all the active action on the street. Will definitely stay at the location again

Centro Isla Mujeres

Everything was in working order. There are 2 layers of security, the door to the whole building, and the apartment having codes for entry. Tristan at the shop across the street is very friendly.

Great place for a family vacation

The apartment was perfect for my family! It was the perfect location to access the beach, restaurants, and the ferry. We didn't have to constantly buy bottled water because of the purified water on-site. The wifi was consistent and the beach towels were appreciated. The onsite staff was so friendly and helpful. The only hitch was she only spoke Spanish and we weren't fluent. But texts and Google translate helped in a pinch.

Great with young family!

We absolutely loved this place. It was right in the center of everything. The walk to Playa del Norte was very doable. We like to stay in more “authentic” spots rather than all-inclusive and this fit the bill. The apartment gave us so much space and fit us great (we brought our own pack n play). The balcony is an added bonus as well. It was very clean and we loved communicating with Miriam as well. The king bed was very comfortable. There was space in the outside hallway to store our double stroller. 11/10 will absolutely return

Not a great experience

We have been to many rentals in Isla Mujeres and this one was very disappointing to say the least. In summary, it was dirty and in dire need of repair. When we entered the 2nd floor 2-bedroom apartment on Day 1, Missy was "cleaning up" her son's belongings who stayed there before us. She removed food from the fridge and was straightening the apartment which placed doubt in our mind whether this apartment was even cleaned between occupants. Our question was answered when we found un-flushed urine in the toilet and dirty kitchen counters and floors. Among the things that need repair are an entry security gate which does not lock, a coffee maker with missing parts, a refrigerator with door shelves that continually fell out, the drinking water pump that constantly needed fiddling, two noisy, wobbly ceiling fans, and a doorwall to the (unmentioned) SHARED balcony that would not lock. Oh, I forgot the "toaster" which is really a George Foreman grill. Try making toast on that. There were only two of us, but for an apartment that is advertised as sleeping six, there is no way that could have happened. There were no blankets or extra pillows available save for one dirty cotton cover (found in a zip bag on a shelf so it should have been clean). We were given one bath towel each for the entire week and told by Missy to go to the Laundromat if it needed cleaning. Now for the part the really upset us. After returning from breakfast on day 2, we found Missy INSIDE our apartment. She offered the excuse that she was putting a beach chair inside so no one would take it, however, we found she had gone into the bedrooms and turned off the A/C. Moreover, on the last day with a check out time of 11am, the cleaning lady came at 8am and started removing all the bedding. In doing so, she opened the apartment up with all of our belongings unsecured for anyone to have access to. Lastly, if you plan on staying over the weekend, be aware of the raggaeton club across the street and open Friday thru Sunday from midnight to 4am. Even with the apartment closed up and the air on, there is no possible way anyone can sleep through that. I've never written a bad review before but I feel that in this case people need to know what they're getting into.

Property describes a hot tube , according to Miriam that apartment does not have a hot tub, but asked for permission from the owner to use the small pool on roof level that claimed only the house on third floor could use, we didn’t feel so welcomed.
