My daughter and I had a wonderful 6 days at Continental Mare. Our room was upgraded (thank you very, very much!) and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were very good, with great gluten-free options. The shuttle to town was very helpful and the short-cut walking path to town gave us a bit of exercise, but was easier than I expected. No negatives at all - our stay was excellent.

Overall pretty average for the price - very nice property but food was below average and over priced. People were helpful. The shuttle is helpful that takes you to the port. A storm damaged the ocean sun deck which had it out of action. Low light was being charged 203 euro for laundry - although this was my fault for not checking prices it was pretty jarring to be charged 4 euro per sock…. Highlight was the views and the ocean sun deck pre storm

We were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary and the lovely receptionist surprised us with the same beautiful room that we had for our honeymoon there along with a bottle of champagne. It made our anniversary extremely special.

They don't honor online price; address wrong

THEY DID NOT HONOR THE HOTELS.COM PRICE. Refused. Charged their price -- I booked at 145/nt and they charged 160/nt. So if you are expecting to pay the correct amount, i don't know what to tell you. ALSO the address on the website is incorrect..... Google will take you to a private house about a mile away.

We loved our stay and wish we could go back immediately. Beautiful property made of multiple buildings on a hill side. The room was comfortable with good AC and plenty of closet space. The included breakfast was excellent and had a lovely view (I especially appreciated the cappuccino the staff would bring out). Staff was very friendly and nice. We noticed a few ants near our doorway our first morning and the staff immediately took care of it. As other reviewers mentioned, there’s a path that takes you from the hotel into the port, which was very convenient. It is a bit of a climb so we made sure to stock up on water and snacks whenever we went down to explore/for dinner. Two pools, which we used quite a bit, both with gorgeous views. The ocean deck was unfortunately not open when we visited end of May, but there’s a small nearby beach along the path that takes you into town (about a 5-10 min walk) There’s also a bus stop at the top of the property (you can buy tickets from the front desk or at shops around the island), which made it easy to get around. We were able to leave our luggage in the lobby while we explored after check out, which was great. Highly recommend!

Godt hotel med fantastisk udsigt over havet. vær dog opmærksom på at der er mange trapper, og at værelser er fordelt over en bjergside. Personalet er venlige og meget hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden er fin. 10 min. gang til havnen, men det går opad når man skal hjem. Busstop lige uden for hotellet.

Personale gentile e sempre disponibile , stanze pulite bella la piattaforma sul mare . Unico neo non è più possibile la mezza pensione come l’ultima volta che ci sono stato ma la direzione punta ad offrire un menu fisso che è veramente povero cercando di favorire la scelta del menù alla carta che comunque ho visto non cambia nei diversi giorni . Comunque senz’altro e’ stata un’ottima esperienza

En pärla vid kanten till Medelhavet

Vi hade en fantastisk upplevelse på Continental Mare. Mycket bra service, trevlig personal och fantastiskt fint beläget vid "medelhavets kant" med en otroligt fin utsikt. 10 minuters promenad till stan med flera mysiga resturanger. Vi åt på hotellets restaurang ett par gånger och det visade sig vara vår bästa matupplevelsen på Iscia. Det enda negativa med restaurangen var att belysningen var väldigt stark så mysfaktorn försvann men med den utsikten spelar det mindre roll. Frukosten var även den mycket bra med bra urval, färsk frukt och äggröra on demand. En parentes att nämna är att man kanske inte bör ha rörelsehinder då det var en del trappor på området. Vi kommer definitivt tillbaka. Stort tack.

Italialainen lomaparatiisi

Continental Maressa pääset kokemaan täydellisen italialaisen kesätunnelman. Palvelu oli erittäin ystävällistä ja henkilökunta järjesti meille helposti mm. shuttlen hakemaan satamasta ja hyvän vuokraskootterin suoraan hotellille toimitettuna. Aamiainen oli erinomainen ja vaihtoehtoja runsaasti - erikoiskahvit ja munakasannokset tarjoiltiin pöytiin ilman lisämaksua. Huone oli siisti ja näkymät (huone merinäköalalla) kauniit. Uusi uima-allasalue oli kaunis ja myös rannan uimalaituri oli auki jo näin toukokuussa, mikä oli iloinen yllätys. Joka puolella oli kauniita kukkaistutuksia ja hedelmäpuita ja koko hotellin ympäristö todella kaunis. Satamaan käveli illalliselle noin 20 minuuttia hotellin pihalta lähtevää oikotietä pitkin ja takaisin tulimme helposti illalla paikallisbussilla (vain 3 pysäkkiä). Huomiona, että hotellin alueella ja rakennuksissa on paljon portaita, mikä ei haitannut meitä mutta hyvä tietää mikäli on mitään liikuntarajoitteita. Kaiken kaikkiaan vierailu oli loistava ja tulemme varmasti uudelleen!

Bella struttura immersa nel verde con comoda discesa su una bella struttura nel mare con lettini e sdraio. Sono presenti anche 2 piscine. Tra Ischia porto e casamicciola può essere una buona sistemazione per vivere l’isola

Fantastic Choice in Ischia

The Hotel and customer service was outstanding. In particular, I wish to thank the Reception Desk who were so very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, set in lush tropical gardens overlooking the Bay of Naples. With 2 lovely swimming pools and down the stairs a bit, access to a private platform and sun lounges right on the sea. Breakfast and the restaurant including service, were also excellent. Added bonus for us: Pet Friendly!

Välkommen till Ischia 😍

Lugnt och skönt hotell för moget sällskap. Fräscht, rent och mycket bra skött. En kort promenad från stan ligger denna oas, som ger lugn och ro. En underbar utsikt både från restaurangen och balkongen. Ett hotell som jag alltid velat bo på, återvänder till och önskar att min omgivning också får uppleva. Rekommenderas starkt!

The gardens, location and direct access to the sea was what we loved. Food was average, staff (except front desk with lovely Roberta) also. We got a better room with a terrace and view (the first one was terrible- street level with a sea view you would never look at because of privacy issues). Worst of all, the taxis from the hotel completely overpriced- shuttle to continental therme and no shuttle back?? Every time you switch beach towel, you are charged!!! No one told us...Lack of umbrella and shade at sea level (unlike hotel next door).`

Struttura valida ma scomoda come ubicazione. La prima camera che mi è stata assegnata era totalmente inadeguata, la seconda assegnatami dopo le lamentele era mediamente confortevole. Colazione molto misera. Direttore dai modi poco educati ed inappropriati rispetto al ruolo ricoperto... sarebbe più adatto per un ostello.

Unsuitable Management

My stay in Ischia began with a message that I would be staying at the Continental Ischia Terme, rather than the Continental Ischia. I had no issue with this, and detailed this is a response to the hotel. When I arrived, the hotel downgraded all amenities that had been previously agreed upon, and wanted to charge me for my stay. It was a simple miscommunication that was easily rectified with my persistent explanation, and verification through emails. The fact that the hotel management had not communicated infuriated me. Furthermore, the reluctance, badgering, and outright lying gave me a terrible impression. I asked simply that I be given the exact agreed upon, and paid for stay for a double room, with breakfast included. We had two single beds side by side. When I asked if we could make a better arrangement, I was first outright lied to, then given a dismissive answer. Management simply gave me an unprofessional impression on several occasions. Facilities, amenities, and other staff were excellent.
