Perfect Location, uncomfortable sleeping arrangement
Pros: 1. Location is perfect, all the shops within short walking distance, train station is 5 minute walk. 2. Wi-Fi was very strong and reliable. 3. Newly remodeled and very nicely decorated, clean. 4. Host were very easy to work with. 5. There is a very nice deck outside off the upper level. Cons: 1. Bedrooms are very small. Main bedroom has a very small bed in it and cannot comfortably accommodate 2 people, it is more like a super single bed. The 2nd room has 2 bunk beds with very thin mattresses. One of us slept in the main room bed, the other in the bunk bed with pillows on top of the mattress and it was still not comfortable. 2. The bathroom is also very small and has no counter space, only one shelf under the mirror. 3. It is listed as a 2 bedroom, however I would say it is only a 2 bedroom option for a single person and 2 small children. I would not stay here again due to the sleeping arrangement issues.

Location, Location, Location
So many wonderful things to say about ‘the Cottage’ but above all the location is amazing. It is just a couple doors away from several wonderful restaurants, it is directly on the street that is the beating heart of Inverness yet it is a peaceful spot, the shopping mall is steps away, very easy walk to train station and bus station, the Tourist Office is close and on the same street, and the River Ness is a straight and short walk away. Our host met us within 30 seconds of our arrival at the Cottage door and provided a great introduction to everything the cottage holds. He provided us with a nice welcome package that included a bottle of wine. That first evening we enjoyed the wine and a super pizza and salads from Cheese and Tomatin (literally a few steps away) while sitting on our private rooftop patio. It was paradise after a long trip from Dublin. Both the Cottage and Inverness are a slice of heaven—come enjoy both!

The perfect spot in Inverness!
This wonderful little flat was the perfect location for our days in Inverness. The beds were great, the kitchen had everything we needed and the hosts were wonderful. Thank you!!

Perfect Location
You could not create a more ideal, convenient location. Steps away from the beautiful river with shops, pubs and more in between. Fantastic. And around the corner you have really good pizza(had a line most days) Chinese, Italian and a place called Girvan that also had a line. They serve all three meals. The place is comfortable, thoughtfully outfitted with English made serving ware, wine glasses, washer/dryer, and generous bottle of wine with the milk, oj, cereal bread etc. nothing is missing, even a small iron and ironing board. This place is perfect.

Fabulous location!!
We love this property! It was in the perfect place to walk to the castle, restaurants, River Ness, bus and train station. Ian is a fabulous host and left us a welcome basket! We plan on staying at Brae Cottage any time we visit Inverness.

Lovely little cottage
We’ve enjoyed our stay. Property is very central, yet very peaceful. A very comfortable accommodation for a family of four. We had everything we needed. Our daughters enjoyed the bank bed, and the excessive choice of toiletries (new shampoo everyday 😂). We would definitely stay again, I think we have found our Inverness base. Thank you to our lovely hosts Ian & Denise.

brae cottage
fantastic little house seconds away from the centre of town but you wouldn't know it when you shut the door. quiet little street 30m from all the amenities. cant fault anything about this place. we had a lovely time and would use this place again no problem. a lovely welcome pack awaits you so no need to rush to the shops and even if you do need something you don't need to go far to get.

Family Break
Booking process and communication with Ian was easy. We thought our trip would be curtailed due to the Covid 19 pandemic and Ian even offered a refund if we did not want to travel. The cottage is superbly situated for the City Centre and everywhere is walkable. The welcome pack was a nice touch which was enjoyed in the evening in the lovely outdoor roof top.seating area.

Excellent place to stay. Couldn't get any closer to town centre
Cottage was clean and tidy. Food and a nice bottle of left for us. Would recommend to anyone.

Fabulous property
The Brae Cottage is a fabulous comfortable cottage in an excellent location. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. There are wonderful upgrades and amenities! Check In was lovely and Ian is delightful!! Highly recommend this cottage! We loved our stay
