"Staff very attentive and jovial,nothing too much trouble.Bar had no real ale,if like me you prefer that and menu could be more extensive.We only had room only so cannot say too much about food.Will certainly stop there again as we have family locally."

"The staff were very good and accommodating. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was alright. Parking was £36 per 24 hours with a 50% discount, so you paid £18 per 24 hours. This meant that if you overstayed by just 30 minutes, it'd cost you another day's rate."

"My wife and I had a decent stay at the Royal Marine, though it was a bit of a mixed bag. The building looks magnificent, and although a little tired, has fantastic potential with some TLC. Our room was spotless, and we enjoyed paying extra for the sea view; watching the ferry terminal activity was actually quite relaxing. However, the hotel is feeling a little run-down and in need of some modernising. We also found the breakfast disappointing, which let the experience down. Whilst we enjoyed our visit to Dunoon, I doubt we'll be rushing back anytime soon."
