"My original room had not been cleaned properly prior to my arrival. I was greeted by an un-flushed WC. Also, there was what appeared to be blood stains on the spare pillow. I reported this to the reception, and was immediately given another room. The staff acted promptly and without fuss. "

"Only fault would be that only one lift was working - which has probably been fixed by the time this is written. Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast. Good value and would certainly use again. "

"Great hotel, though it was a bit disconcerting to find it was part of the hospital complex. I had a lovely room, with a large walk in shower, and great views over the River Clyde. The breakfast food was great. I ate at the restaurant one evening, and had lovely, fresh fish and chips. Unfortunately, I was not very hungry the next night, and wanted to order one of the advertised “small dishes”. But in that case I had to order two - that was the minimum order. So I asked to order a sandwich, but the hotel stopped serving them at 4pm. I ended up buying a packet of crisps from the vending machine in the hospital - not ideal!"

"We found faces on what was apparently a clean towel folded in our room and despite informing staff about it before 9am when we arrived back it was still on the floor after 3pm! Spa was an extra charge pp and is not for anywhere close to adequate access, when we arrived there were already at least 6 adults in a small hot tub. Wifi connection is totally unmanageable we had to hot spot our phones. Decoration is dated and decaying with grout missing in the bathroom and wallpaper peeling off the walls. Horrendous experience particularly when compared to some other 4 star hotels which feel a world apart. "

"Hotel facilities are excellent, staff friendly and attentive, food very good. To be super critical we stayed in room 113 and spent large amounts of time listening to the floor boards creak from the room above. Ceiling down lighter with holes needed to be filled in and put next to the water fridge in the grill on our evening meal meaning we were constantly disturbed. These are minor as the hotel is great. "
