The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and is still within 10 minutes walk to the train station. The room is clean, with basic amenities. There is no refrigerator in the room but there is a shared one in the common kitchen. I did not give five stars only because my room has the smell of smoke. The hotel is a non-smoking one but previous guests seemed to have smoked in the room.

We had a great time at hotel Artos. The hotel was clean, staff friendly. It was accessible to the bus and you can take a leisure walk if you desire. Hope to be back soon!

When we booked this hotel, we did not see that it’s part of a retirement home. The breakfast staff also took our friends chair because he was drinking “to much” orange juice. The glasses where small and it was supposed to be an all you can eat morning breakfast that we paid for.

A great, clean, modern property, with so many inclusions at the site. Good breakfast and coffee available and a full wellness centre to use on site. Staff were helpful and friendly. Transport right outside the hotel and easy to use. Highly recommend!

Lovely, clean hotel in a great location. Only around 15 mins walk from the town centre and from the train station. Breathtaking views on either side. The only thing we'd change is we'd love to have a refrigerator in the room, but because we went in winter we just left our drinks outside on the balcony. I would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay in Interlaken

Amazing Breakfast + Peaceful and Clean stay
Super clean stay at such a peaceful hotel that was a 10 min walk from Interlaken OST. The staff were all friendly, and because it was a retirement home, they had useful amenities like a full gym, hot water dispenser, a library/board games area, open concept utensils and wine/bottle openers, plates etc. Last but not least the rooms were spotless clean, and the free breakfast was amazing

Just far enough from the tourist traps that it was quiet but close enough that you can walk to the tourist traps without having to jump in a taxi. Nice views from the room (plus a patio!) and plenty of space inside the room.

We liked this property because it was so close to everything. We enjoyed the concept of being and and assisted living place. It was extremely hot the week we were there. And the facility did not have air conditioning, that was the only negative.

We booked a superior room and it was fantastic - a big terrace with views of the mountains, roomy and modern, very comfortable. It's in a quiet part of town about 15 minutes from Interlaken Ost station. The staff were very friendly. Yes, as noted by other reviewers, it's attached to a retirement home - but it didn't seem like it at all, and the facilities were great (including breakfast). It was very expensive, but after all this is in Switzerland so of course! We were happy with our choice.

When I entered the lobby I thought I was in the wrong place. It’s an old aged home with handicapped adults. When I checked in, I had a very unfriendly man who barely gave me details about anything. I asked how to book the train to the Jungfrau he gave me a website. He never informed us about a room where we could get free coffee since there is no kettle, tea or coffee in your room, no refrigerator , there is also a room where you can do your washing and drying - he never told us -we found it by accident and it was occupied too late for us. When I tried to book the jungfrau tickets, I couldn’t figure it out so I came back downstairs where I found a very friendly lady who told me the hotel was having a special ticket for a good discount . Now, why could this man not have told me that when I booked in. The rooms are spacious, but very clinical, no fridge no tea coffee. Very sparse on the toiletries too. The beds were comfy and we did have a nice big window that opened up but we couldn’t get the room properly darkened at night. There is no air conditioning but has heating . It is a 10 to 15 min walk to the oos Station to catch the trains to the Jungfrau. . The town is full of tourist groups, many watch shops, and that’s about it. Only reason to come here is to get the train to the Jungfrau for the day, which was a wonderful trip, which lasted about 6 hrs.$$$

Nice hotel inside the neighbourhood. I liked that it was in a quiet area, but it was close to the main train statin and the main Interlaken area with restaurants. Our reservation included complementary buffet breakfast which had a great selection. The hotel is part of a retirement home, which I thought was endearing. The room was very spacious.

NOT WHAT YOU'RE EXPECTING IN ANYWAY...
First of all I should say that I could not fault the friendliness of the staff, the size of the room or the location (to Interlaken Ost). However be 100% clear - you are staying in a senior citizen retirement home and the rooms (however spacious and comfortable) are basically upmarket hospital rooms. There are no hotel amenities as you might expect in other accommodations - no bar, no room service, very basic breakfast only but only 15CHF. The place has no buzz, no vibe, no reason to spend any time lingering in - BUT it is clean, comfortable (ish) and close to the station and the town. Interlaken is overrated anyway so I wasnt that disappointed tbh.

This hotel is part of a care home. My room was clean, bright and spacious. The rooms are simple but comfortable and good value for the price paid. The room had a balcony with a mountain view which was an added bonus for me as I wasn't expecting a standard room to have one. The rooms are cleaned daily. The hotel is located a 10-15 minute walk away from Interlaken Ost train station and has a bus stop right outside the hotel entrance. The hotel also provided a complimentary bus pass to use on local bus services. You can also use this pass to get small discounts on other travel and other things. Front desk staff were very helpful with all my requests. Would recommend.

This was a unique stay, it appears to share a property with a retirement home, most notably when having breakfast. The room and service was great though, we just missed the creature comforts we get at home like a mini fridge and kettle in the room.
