Stayed at Blackhome Tivoli and the experience did not match its 4-star listing. Check-in is fully self-service via an outdoor screen. Live chat didn’t respond in the evening, and with no staff onsite, there was no assistance available.
Rooms were basic, with a pull-out third bed on the floor and outdoor hallways, giving a motel-like feel rather than 4-star. Breakfast was a small bag of ham, cheese, buns, and juice—far below 4-star expectations.
There was no properly hot water in either room in the morning; only lukewarm at best. The hotel’s explanation of full occupancy and cold weather doesn’t justify this for a 4-star property, especially in a winter sports city like Innsbruck. The guest laundry was also visibly unclean.
Overall, the property is misrepresented as 4-star. A similar self-check-in concept hotel we had booked elsewhere offered proper 4-star quality, amenities, and service. The hotel provided no refund or credit of any kind despite admitting some issues.
Future travellers should check expectations carefully.
