"We stayed here as it was close to the highland games we were attending and was a nice stay. The property is very old and shows signs of it, but was part of the castle stay charm. The staff are wonderful and the hiking is breathtaking. Food was good and it was a neat stay in a castle. Would recommend. "
"This would be one of the best properties we have been too. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. They even have a honesty shop in case you have forgot anything "
"Beautiful building and Chris and Meg were so helpful, friendly and interesting to talk with. Breakfasts kept us going all day. The annexe was warm and well appointed for self catering. We loved it."
"Great location for hiking or passing thought the National Park. Nice big property with 2 living rooms for chilling, a fully equipped kitchen and a big dining room. Showers and toilets are shared with all other rooms on your floor. Also towels have to be rented - £5 for two, this was an unusual encounter for us. Owner who showed us around was lovely. "
"Stayed in the yurt very cozy and spotless with a comfortable bed, just place for a peace of mind and soul, I was worried about the cold before my visit and brought lots of extra blankets and hot water bottle but the yurt is very well insulated and the wood burner keeps it very warm definitely recommended "

10/10 Excellent
"Historic hotel set in its own grounds, we walked here as part of the Cateran Trail. The staff, the food, the ambience, the upkeep of the hotel, and our room were all excellent. "
"Fantastic stay, exceeded expectations on every level.
Decor/interior beautiful and made to feel so at home from check in onwards.
Breakfast was delicious and service was to a high standard. Hosts go above and beyond."
"Wonderful stay is a beautiful, unique, and tastefully decorated house. Quality is how I would describe it in one word. A feeling of luxury combined with a great atmosphere and wonderful breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. "
"Great stopover in a hotel that was a bit like the TARDIS. You can see the investment in the public rooms and the breakfast buffet area. Service was excellent and there were plenty of friendly, local staff. Check in was led by the tech and on par with upmarket city hotels."
