What's nearby

  • This is beautiful Bolton Abbey in Wharfedale at the foot of the Yorkshire Dales. The now ruined abbey was founded in 1154 but dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539. Dare to cross the sixty stepping stones to cross the river but beware of the Strid with its dangerous eddies of water.
