This rural Devonshire holiday home offers friends and families a truly restful break, providing a cosy and comfortable base to return to after fun-filled days of adventure. Trimstone is a tiny hamlet with a scattering of houses – a calm and quiet place to stay. Winding country roads lead you just 3 miles to the beautiful Woolacombe Beach, one of Devon’s highlights. This award-winning surf destination boasts miles of golden sand and a wide range of water sports to try your hand at. Backed by dunes and flanked by dramatic cliffs, it’s also perfect for walking if the weather isn’t ideal for the beach. Head north to Morte Point (3.5 miles) or south to Baggy Point (7.5 miles), both offering must-see views. Just a short drive away, Ilfracombe (3.5 miles) is a lively seaside town with plenty to offer, including shops and eateries that line its historic harbour.
This contemporary cottage is filled with natural light, thanks to large windows, patio doors and skylights that invite the sunshine in while framing views of the surrounding countryside. There are 5 steps down before you enter through the porch and you’ll immediately find an en-suite double bedroom – cosy, comfortable, and ideal for family members who prefer ground-floor accommodation. From the porch turn left down 3 steps and continue through to the lounge/diner, an impressive open space with a bi-fold patio door stretching across one wall. This inviting room features a variety of seating options arranged around a Smart TV and a striking wood burner, making it the perfect hub for socialising. A doorway leads through to the contemporary kitchen, fitted with modern cabinets and appliances. A second dining table in the kitchen offers a more casual spot for breakfasts and light bites. Upstairs on the first floor, you'll find a double bedroom, a cheerful bunk room made with children in mind, and a luxurious family bathroom. The final bedroom, a handsome king-size suite with en-suite and Velux windows, is found via a unique spiral staircase leading to the third floor.
The bi-fold doors in the lounge not only create a stunning view to enjoy from indoors but also open the space up to the large rear garden, perfect for indoor-outdoor living. Complete with mature planting, soft shrubs and blooming flowers, this grassy garden is a true countryside retreat. A raised patio area provides the perfect spot to dine alfresco, with a view across the lawn where children can run and play.
