The Cocoonr agency is offering *La Bergoya* for rent: a 115 m² family home situated in Saint-Sauveur, in the heart of the Île d’Yeu. Facing due south, it enjoys plenty of natural light throughout the day and can accommodate up to 9 guests.

The house offers everything you could wish for a comfortable stay: 4 bedrooms, a 600 m² enclosed garden, a 30 m² south-facing terrace, a plancha, private parking, fibre-optic broadband, linen included and baby equipment.

It is laid out as follows:

Ground floor:
- A 30 m² living room with a wood-burning stove for cosy winter evenings.
- An open-plan fitted kitchen including: electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob…
- Bedroom 1: a queen-size bed (160×200) and a single bed
- Bedroom 2: a bunk bed, sleeping 2
- A bathroom with a bath
- Separate toilet

Upstairs
- Bedroom 3: a queen-size bed (160×200)
- Bedroom 4: a single bed and a loft bed, accessible via a ladder
- A shower room
- Separate toilet

For added comfort, the owners also provide: a high chair, a cot, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a griddle, an ironing board and an iron.

Outside:
- The house has a beautiful, private, enclosed garden of 600 m², as well as a 30 m² south-facing terrace with garden furniture.

Its location is one of its great assets: La Bergoya is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood, just a few minutes’ walk from the village centre, the church, the shops and the summer market.

Activities:

- Beaches by bike: Vieilles beach, Sapins beach and Ker Châlon beach for swimming, beach games or a quick ride back home.
- Sunsets and evening strolls: a walk to the Port de la Meule, about 20 to 25 minutes on foot depending on your pace, or 8 to 12 minutes by bike.
- Wild coast and coastal path: cliffs, coves, Pointe du But, Pointe des Corbeaux and Vieux Château for those who love more spectacular scenery.
- Hiking: the island offers 72 km of signposted routes, including the GR Tour de l’île d’Yeu and several footpaths, notably the Sente de la Meule.
- Cycling: a 16 km circular cycle route, routes to Pointe du But, the small villages, the dune-lined coast, or a tour of the island for the more enthusiastic cyclists.
- Water sports depending on the season: sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, diving or surfing, depending on which schools and providers are open.

Transport:
If you’re travelling to the island by car, you can park directly in the house’s private car park.

- By boat from Fromentine: crossings operate all year round with the Yeu-Continent company; the journey takes around 30 minutes on an NGV catamaran or around 70 minutes on a cargo ferry.
- With the Compagnie Vendéenne: crossings from Fromentine from April to early November, from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie from April to late September, and from Barbâtre in July and August, subject to the timetable.
- Booking ferry tickets is strongly recommended all year round and essential during peak periods.
- Nearest airport: Nantes Atlantique, about 1h30’s drive from Fromentine.
- Nearest railway station: Challans, with road links or shuttle buses to Fromentine depending on the season and timetable.
On the island:
- Cycling is the main way to get around the island (bicycle hire available in Port-Joinville and in the village).
- Taxis and local shuttle buses are available from the port of Port-Joinville.

Other remarks :
- Bed linen, towels and tea towels included.
- End-of-stay cleaning includes preparing the accommodation for future visitors. Please leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition and clean all appliances after use.
- All requests for arrival or departure outside the times indicated are subject to the availability of the person in charge of reception. A flat-rate supplement may be charged.
- The wood-burning stove is operational, but there is an additional charge for wood (€100 per stere).

- Smoking is not permitted in the house
- Pets are not allowed in the accommodation.
- An outside passage sheltered by the covered terrace allows you to walk around in all weathers, but is not heated in winter.
