Great Stay at Fernwood

We love this modern cabin in Idyllwild. It has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We even had snow on our last night. So neat!

Our stay at Fernwood

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Fernwood. The cabin was perfect. Cozy, clean and modernized. Wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely plan a return trip in the future.

Wonderful place

It was exactly what we were looking for, beautifully remodeled place, very quiet, very comfy beds, location is ideal. Lots of birds ! Steller's Jays, Pine Siskins, Acorn Woodpeckers and more.

Outdoor getaway

The house is beautiful and they have such a chill vibe. Very close to restaurants walking distance to cafe aroma recommend. The best part it felt like the outdoors was just outside your door step. Would definitely stay in this awesome home again

Fantastic experience

Lovely property within a mile of downtown, but just far enough away to be private and quiet. Thoughtful details throughout the cozy, clean environment. Loved the wood fireplace (with plenty of firewood provided), record player (with great selection of albums), and outdoor fire pit. Host communicated promptly and helpfully throughout our weekend stay, and gave advance warning of inclement weather approaching to ensure we were prepared. 10/10 will stay there again.

Lovely cottage in the pines

We had the sweetest time at The Fernwood Cottage. Everything from the quality interior, the beautiful leaded windows, linen bedding and the organic cold pressed virgin olive oil available for cooking - was lovely. A lot of thought was put into creating this space and we fully appreciated the effort. Our host was generous and replied straight away to any questions. Thank you. We’ll be back!

Pleasant mountain cabin

Nicely updated 2-bedroom cabin with plenty of amenities including a well-furnished wood-burning fireplace and a large deck has a gas firepit and adirondack chairs to unwind and help with star-gazing. There's no TV but we didn't miss it. The Tesla charger is a nice plus if you drive an EV.

Gem in the Mountians

Luke's place in Idllywild is amazing. It has everything you need from the fire pit, to the record player for when you are making dinner, to the games to entertain yourselves while at Fernwood. The little town is filled with so many amazing shops which are all super close. All of Luke's recommendations hit the spot. Whether its Italian, Bagels, Beer, and even Coffee they were all really really great. Didn't get to hike this time because we ran out of time but we will for sure be back to do some hiking in the fall. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city life for a bit, and just relax and enjoy nature. I'm actually glad there was no TV because you don't even need it! Thanks again!

Great weekend getaway spot. Close enough to town if needed. Fernwood sits up on the property so you feel as if you are sitting in the trees. The porch is what makes this place!

The cabin was perfect for our weekend get away. Loved listening to records, enjoying the outdoor patio and fire pit, and takng in all the nature around the cabin. Beds were very comfortable. Nice creek trail to walk to town too. Luke responds immediately to any questios. And he even offered us early check in and late check out. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely loved our stay! The cabin and amenities were great. Especially loved that there was no television. It was also pleasantly surprised by the outdoor shower. The kitchen was well stocked, with all the utensils & amenities we needed. The beds were very cozy and the house even came with a washer and dryer. Overall, I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a fantastic weekend getaway at this cabin! The host was excellent—super communicative and helpful. The cabin itself was awesome, cozy, and conveniently close to the center of town. We loved our stay and would definitely go back!

Beautiful, clean cabin!The scenic 15-minute walk to town is the perfect balance of being just far enough away while still close to the center of Idyllwild. The cabin is beautifully furnished and feels like home, plus it has a great deck that’s perfect for lounging and reading next to the fire pit. All the essentials—and more—are provided, and the detailed instructions are easy to find and follow. Lucas is a great host and has been beyond helpful! We will definitely book here again on our next trip to Idyllwild.

Crisp and clean, what a beauty! Pleasure to stay in - This placed is dialed in and has great detail for a rental of this size. Comfy beds, great linens and bath products, too! Main room was roomy, open and bright if you wanted it to be, or cozy and warm snuggled up on the sofa listening to the fireplace crackle. Very easy rental process, well organized and labeled. Loved listening to classics on the record player, (added a few albums to my list to collect). Played a few of the well stocked games for fun family night. Hope to be back soon!
