This area is centred around the historic Idar Fort, which dominates the landscape. The fort itself is a significant landmark, offering panoramic views of the town and surrounding Aravalli hills. The town at the base of the fort is relatively compact, making it easy to navigate on foot to see local temples and markets.

For travellers interested in history and local culture, staying near the fort provides direct access to its many features, including the ancient temples within its walls and the unique rock formations. You'll be well-placed to explore the fort's various gates and structures at your leisure.
