We stayed at The Dundas when attending a wedding nearby, and it was just lovely. Wonderful staff, super friendly. Our room was great, the bed was so comfortable and I didn’t want to get out of it! Beautiful surroundings by the canal, we had a lovely private patio out to the water. Hoping to return for lunch in warmer weather!

Stayed for 2 nights for our 35th wedding anniversary, room was spacious and comfortable with two very nice easy chairs. The shower had a bit of a mind of its own, but was lovely, hot and very powerful. Nice tea and coffee without the usual Nescafé! Particularly liked the Monbana hot chocolate. Great food and staff very friendly and hardworking. Nice walks along the canal, all in all we’d go back.

Terrible birthday experience due to the food being inedible and diabolical- such a shame as we were looking forward to this and the food just let it down. We were told that they are currently in a transition phase and lots of staff have gone. We were given a discount off our bill as we didn’t eat anything at all and given free drinks to compensate. We would not return

A beautiful spot to stay, plenty of parking. Staff very friendly and chatty, especially Rosalind, made us feel we belonged. Our bed was very comfortable and the room quite spacious with a terrace and river outside our patio doors. Only thing we didn't like was the weather, but that's England for you in March!! :o)

Lovely River Room...
We had a river room which was just beautiful and very relaxing. The bathrooms however need a face lift. The female that booked us in and took care of us each morning was amazing, her customer service was second to none, same with the female that services the rooms. We were however very disappointed with the restaurant. On the Friday after getting a drink in the bar we went into the restaurant where we were ignored. I went to the bar to confirm that food was being served and it was confirmed yes. A male came in, saw us sitting there and got coffees. After half an hour of no one coming to serve us, we walk out and had to go else where for food. This really let the pub down.

Great Location
The Dundas Arms is in an amazing Location and the river rooms with the outlook made our stay so memorable. All the staff are so pleased to help and their service is prompt and nothing is to much trouble. The Beer garden is also kept very well and atmospheric in its surroundings. The menu would be great with a few extra options if you are staying for a few days. We would definitely book again.

Lovely location and great sized room. Evening meal was good but I feel the vegetarian options could be improved. Vegan meal was overpriced! Staff were polite. Unfortunately wifi signal in accommodation was very poor.

We booked a lovely River Room which opened on to the canal to a beautiful view. It was quiet and the food in the restaurant was really good especially the cooked breakfast

Perfect pub with rooms. Room really beautifully furnished with a little quirk. Great service, serving really good food and a great breakfast.Plenty of walking nearby and really dog friendly.

It’s a beautiful place to stay and sit in the garden surrounded by rivers, nice weather makes it even better. Would be a great wedding reception venue. Very good staff, a great Sunday roast, not the cheapest though, closing times quite early on a Sunday, kitchen closes 6pm, bar at 8. Get the rooms with river view, well worth it, our room ‘teal’ could do with a deep clean in terms of few cobwebs and wall marks but that is the ONLY negative the rest is fantastic.

This unique inn is situated on a little island in the middle of a canal. The restaurant is on the canal. The rooms are also on the canal. Step out of the back door of your room onto a waterfront patio in which there is a table and chairs and a wonderful place for relaxing. The inn has an excellent bar. The restaurant offers a decent menu and good food. Friendly helpful staff enhance the experience. Warning: there is a train track and station close by that occasionally provides some sounds that break the silence and tranquility (and could be considered noise) from time to time but, viewed correctly, can afford some additional charm. The uniqueness, charm and positives of this place outweigh this potential negative factor in my opinion.

Ok but shop around
Lovely pub to stay with your dog , great walks. Service could be a little better felt ignored and had to ask for each thing. Hung about waiting for staff to seat us. Not a problem just annoying, it wasn’t busy so no reason why staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Nice place but expensive compared to other places we saw.

Lovely rural setting, I had a room with a terrace beside the river and had a very enjoyable stay. Food was good and despite all the virus restrictions the experience wasn't dulled & the service was great. Just a point - the rooms lack air conditioning and we had freakishly humid weather during the night but a solution was quickly provided in the form of a cooling fan so again a first class effort. I'd certainly recommend a visit.

Lovely pub with gorgeous riverside terrace rooms and fabulous food. The Covid measures are excellent and consistently followed. Special mention to Poppy the Manager who solved our TV tech problem in the room by kindly lending us her personal fire stick. Definitely above and beyond what I would have expected. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend it to others.

One of the bedside lamps was broken. We had a waterfront room and the outside area felt quite shabby. There was no wifi in the bedroom - the Mallard. At dinner, our mains took 50 minutes to be delivered and apparently they had been sitting for a long time so had to be re-made. It's too bad because the outdoor seating area is really lovely. However, for accommodation, this place is really overpriced for what you get. We stayed at another place our second night and it was £50/night cheaper and much nicer. Definitely recommend shopping around.

Beautiful Location. Very comfortable room, clean, nice bathroom, great breakfast. Friendly service. Convient for walking along the canal, or jumping on the train at the station opposite. Contrary to a previous review the trains are not noisy or disturbing, that reviewer must be used to sleeping in a soundproof room.

Great Pub/Inn located on the canal.
This Pub/Inn is a must stay. The rooms on the river are just delightful. The restaurant is very good. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast. We would visit just for the pub. The location is great for a morning walk along the canal. Really enjoyed our stay.

it was a one night sat for business. We had dinner in the hotel which was really rather good as was breakfast in the morning. There was a bedside lamp in our room where the switch was broken exposing live wires to the user. Unfortunately i neglected to report this. Over all I would stay there again

Great riverside location about fifteen minutes from M4. Breakfast very good, Evening meal choice was good. CRAFT BEERS, Gun safe in the room, what more could you ask for
