"We stayed here for a weekend in the area. We went to a concert in Charlottesville on Saturday night and this was a great, quiet location for us to get to the concert and also enjoy a few places along 151. We enjoyed our stay, though it was a rainy weekend so we didn't get to enjoy the property or the many trails on the property as I had hoped. Great accommodations if you don't mind the bed on the lower level and the bath up. We didn't have an issue with that and the owners are very upfront about that detail. They were very responsive and the details about the property are spot on. Thanks! "

"We are six women in our 40s who do an annual weekend away and this house was perfect for us. Its a beautiful home with expansive windows that let in lots of light and surrounded by trees on all sides. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed, included a well stocked kitchen with cooking utensils and pots and pans. The owners were very responsive and communicative. Inside wintergreen resort and very convenient to hikes and overlooks. Recommend. "

"The Shamokin Chalet (Grand Chalet) was a gorgeous home with amazing mountain views! It was one of the most well appointed homes I’ve stayed in - well stocked kitchen (paper products, spices, dishes, cooking supplies, coffees), shampoos, conditioners, body wash, toilet paper and plenty of towels in all bathrooms, even beach towels for the hot tub. The home was beautifully decorated and immaculate. The landscaping was gorgeous. It had the most massive TV I’ve ever seen. The owner was a great communicator, texts were timely and he was quick to respond. My family would definitely come back to this lovely home! "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the house! We loved the family room and fireplace. The kitchen was also very well stocked. We appreciated so much all the extra amenities of soap, shampoo and body wash. As well as firewood for the fireplace. The hot tub was broken… but the property manager was exceptional! He tried his best to get it up and running but was unsuccessful. He was very responsive and kind. "

"Great home & great location! Everything was clean and had everything needed in the kitchen. We had 11 of us stay (including 9 teenagers!) and there was plenty of room…. Teenage kids loved the game area and the outdoor fire pit. Only “negative” was not being walking distance to the slopes BUT it was a short drive. We had 3 cars and had no problem parking. Property manager was awesome and responded to my questions super quickly. "

"Loved our stay—very well appointed home!! Kitchen had all we needed and loved the coffee bar—they even provided coffee, creamers and sweeteners! We had 6 adults and 6 children ages 5-13 and this house was perfect for all of us. Loved the hot tub after a day of skiing as well as all of the games. We will definitely be back!!"
