"The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was great. The staff was helpful. I do wish I knew beforehand that the laundry was coin operated. I stayed 5 nights and would have loved to be able to do a load. I stayed over a holiday weekend and with the office hours being limited, I was unable to track down quarters."

"Our second time staying and perfect place for traveling w families. So convenient to pack/unpack, close to downtown, and love the outdoor spaces and game room. Also super convenient to Safeway, Starbucks, and Walgreens, as well as food options. Nothing fancy or extravagant but recently updated, new, modernized, and hidden gem for a trip to Steamboat. We plan to return again next year!"

"This was the perfect place to stay in Steamboat. Excellent location, walkable to all the best restaurants (you MUST go to Laundry), as well as fun shops. The condo itself was exactly as advertised. It was VERY clean and had anything you needed. You could tell it has been very well taken care of. Check in/out was extremely easy. Margaret was very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this condo to everyone. We will definitely stay here again!"

"Certainly clean & nice, but the mandatory contract terms were unacceptable, stating that host & representatives were not liable for anything and could not be sued. Contract was sent several days after deposit was made. A/C was out during our stay and unit became very warm. Host informed us of the issue 1 hr before check in and demanded a decision on take it or cancel. Was not much available in Steamboat that was acceptable at the last minute. We love Howelsen Place but would have enjoyed a more customer friendly engagement."

"Outstanding Property in SteamboatThe photos don't do this place justice. What comes through in the listing is nice enough, but the reality is considerably better—the finishes are more refined, the flow of the space works better than you'd expect, and everything is genuinely well-maintained. This is the kind of rental where the owners clearly care about the actual experience of staying there.The location is the real standout. You're close enough to everything that nothing requires a drive, but far enough removed that it actually feels peaceful. We could walk to restaurants and shops easily, but also step outside and be in a genuinely quiet space. That balance is harder to find than it should be. Don't miss the saturday farmers market right outside your door. Easy walk to great restaurants like Laundry, Creekside, and Meatbar. The kitchen is functional and well-equipped. Beds are comfortable. The layout gives you privacy without feeling cramped, even with a full group. Little details matter here—good water pressure, reliable wifi, adequate seating for hanging out together or retreating separately.This is a property that delivers on what vacation rentals promise to be. Highly recommended for Steamboat."

"This is a spectacular place! Best rental I've had among the 50 or so around the world I've stayed in. SPOTLESS! PARKING! EASY, PROMPT COMMUNICATION! AND EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING!Location is perfect - peaceful river and mountain view. Steps/yards from restaurants. The main downtown is all within a 5-6 block walk. 2 blocks to the rodeo. 10 minute drive to skiing!Great space, both indoor and out. Bathrooms are very high end! Tons of towels, product, etc.Kitchen is the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. Terrific high-end everything - glassware, dishes, cooking gear, appliances. And everything worked easily! (not always the case). Would ONLY want to stay here on Steamboat visits. Truly outstanding experience!"
