Poor Experience

I rented this unit for an employee who was relocating to the US. I was unable to get the address until the transaction was completed. Certain spots in the area are high end and have security gates. The unit is nice; however, there is no security gate. The stores in the area are run down. The area has a high crime rate. Upon seeing the area, the employee did not feel comfortable staying there by herself. When I tried to contact the agent to inform her that we wished to cancel, she stated she would get back with me and never responded. She offered other properties which were 30 -45 minutes away from the office and therefore unacceptable. I never heard back from her. Our employee never slept in the unit and the agent kept showed the property as reserved the entire time. I tried to reach out to VRBO for assistance and received none. I was hoping to be able to use VRBO for relocation assistance in the future but this experience made me reconsider that option.
