We were traveling to Houston to visit with my brother who was in the hospital with cancer. The doctor had called and told me his cancer was not responding to treatment. We knew we had to go to be with him especially at Christmas time. The hotel staff worked with us even when my bank held up the payment we were trying to make because of security on my card. I did not realize they had a shuttle service to the hospital so that saved us a lot of stress in finding a ride to the hospital. They were very friendly and helpful. I understand that hotel will be closing soon. I wanted to provide positive feedback for the staff because of how much they helped us while we were there.
I checked in at the front desk got my card key went and found a place to park close to my room. Unloaded the car walked upstairs to the second floor with all my stuff. Upon opening the room door the smell was horrible so thick I could cut it with a knife. The bed covers were dirty looking. I turned around walked right back out the door. Went downstairs gave her the card key back got my refund and found another hotel. Plus children were runing all around the parking lot and people was hanging out in the stairways.
Woke up at 4 am with bed bugs...nasty nasty place very run down after bed bugs pulled all covers off bed to reveal nasty mattresses were all stained and wore out and holes...bathroom was nasty as well. Stay away...also the break in case of fire extinguishers were empty
The area was sketchy, meaning sketchy people. Kind of feared for my safety as two men were arguing in the parking lot and main lobby as I checked in. My reservation was for one thing and got something thing completely different upon check in. Its like the person checking in did not care what was reserved. The ROOM was not up to standard at ALL. First thing smoke room(asked for non smoking) second the beds, very poor quality and still plastic wrapped, so as you slept and moved you were like sleeping on a trash bag. Bathroom; the TUB. NO NO NO. Water issues so bad they need to be shut down. I literally kept thinking how can MOTEL 6 keep there name on this hotel. I am sorry, this place needs to be shut down and a complete remodel done. Especially so close to NRG Stadium and Medical Center area.
There was a hole in the restroom behind the door, The light between the beds didn't work, The walls were stained, and the WIFI only connected while in the office, never in the room.
The beds were comfortable. I have always had a great experience here except during my most recent stay. The room reeked of smoke and the metal in the floor was only good for tripping my young son. The floors were really dirty and the air condition unit was leaking on the inside of the room. Staff did their best to fix things, but not much could be fixed in 2 days. Overall, guests are respectful of each other and beds were comfortable to sleep in.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
clean and very close to the hospital district.
we left a day earlier than expected and our money was cheerfully refunded to Orbitz. now we will see if Orbitz refunds us. Rates here were reasonable especially since it was right after hurricane Harvey and they were very full.

Had dead roaches inside the drawers and one one the bed!
To start they couldn't find my reservation so I had to pay extra for the room, the building was old and smelt bad, the room when you walked in had this dirt feel to it overall it's a hotel that I would never go to again and the fact that my reservation couldn't be found makes me not want to use hotels.com again
Bed bugs and prostitution outside our room. Room wasn't confirmed and entire hotel was very noisy. We kept our luggage in the trunk of our rental, which I worries about getting stolen. The staff was very nice and was the only reason we didn't look for another hotel that night
Lots of vagrants partying in the parking lot in the wee hours of the morning. Front desk personnel shrugged shoulders over questions and concerns. Exception was the late night employee who, on the second attempt, got the partiers to quiet down.
The price was good... but do not stay here if you have smoke allergies. My room was non-smoking but had bad smoke smell and a pile of ashes behind the night stand. Room was only cleaned one daybof my 5 day stay. People loitering in hallways at all hours, standing and smoking right outside my room (not just cigarettes). People drying laundry on the rails. Room was very run down... peeling paint and plaster, missing furniture, etc.
You get what you pay for but if I book a King size Bed, I expect it. I've booked over 5 rooms and all King Size but I never get them. I end up with twins every time. I'll even call to confirm but once I'm there, oh sorry we don't have anymore !
