The property itself was comfortable and well located for our trip. That said, we ran into several serious issues that significantly impacted our stay and that future guests deserve to know about.Parking is listed as an onsite amenity but the garage is explicitly off limits to guests in the house rules. We had to park a couple of blocks away on Jackson St. That contradiction exists within the listing itself and should be corrected.The house rules state no animals, however we noticed evidence of a pet at the property. Both guests experienced allergy symptoms during our stay that we believe were related.Most concerning, we were contacted by the host in real time about visitors at the property, which strongly suggests monitoring equipment was in use. No surveillance or monitoring devices are disclosed anywhere in the listing, which is required by Vrbo policy. As a guest I have a reasonable expectation of privacy during my stay. Discovering we may have been monitored without our knowledge or consent was genuinely unsettling and affected our comfort for the remainder of the trip.I would encourage the host to update the listing to accurately reflect the parking situation, pet presence, and any monitoring devices so future guests can make fully informed decisions before booking.
