Staff was very helpful. When the bathroom malfunctioned she promptly moved us to a new room. She was a very sweet and professional employee. The next room we went to the ac froze up anf soaked the carpet. Other than that we had a great stay.

The only thing i had issues with was when we got there the door to our room wasnt fully shut ane and we had hard time getting the door to fully close, the reason is i dont want to walk in into someone already in the room or squatters who gone through the back door and snuck into an empty room 😅 but overall it was amazing and very clean and SO QUIET

Room smelled very musty, like maybe it’s a water leak issue. Sink didn’t have a rubber insert and you could see strait down into the sink drain. Linens were clean and fresh. Bathroom was clean and stocked with shampoo etc. Overall it was ok. 2.5 out of 5 stars.

For the price point, I was expecting a much better experience.. our first room had carpet that felt damp, and cockroaches around the kitchenette.. We were then moved to a second room that had cracks in the sheetrock, and molding missing in the main room.. the bathroom cabinets were damaged, soap dispenser head was broken, tub was stained, and shower rod was rusty, and about to fall off the wall.. However, the staff was truly a pleasure to deal with (seems like they know the property has issues, and have no control of it)

I always wonder about the cleanliness of the bedsheets, but Candlewood surprised me. My sheets were white and clean! There were no stains and no unwanted lint or hair. the front office staff and housecleaners were welcoming and friendly. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in La Porte.

Only stayed overnight for convenience to sporting venue, early next morning. Didn make use of many amenities. Saw, and killed, cockroaches in the kitchen area. Sure to be off putting.

Hospitality was great, room space was nice. Cleanliness was a concern for me. Hallway and room had a moist moldy smell, and shower had mildew build up in corners. For some not a big issue but i would likely be looking to book elsewhere next time.
