We get there the elevator didn’t work, the hot water wasn’t working, there was old food left in the fridge from the person before. The breakfast way okay didn’t have much to choose from. The ac worked really good.

Our stay was comfortable. The hotel was pretty old and carpet was dirty. The hotel was very accommodating and the price was reasonable. The statement of the “15 Pool” was very misleading… we weren’t sure if they had 15 pools or if the pool was 15 feet…

Clean, quiet, and spacious rooms. Excellent service, nice breakfast, great pool. I appreciate the free drinks and free early check-in. I was able to shorten my stay without any charge.

We really liked the accomodations. We stayed in room 208 it was very clean and extremely big. Has a kitchenette, couch , bistro type table and chairs, king bed, super cold air conditioner, desk and chair, extremely nice bathroom. Pool, vending machine, and convenient parking. We definitely would stay here again the price was very affordable and hotel staff was professional and friendly. 10/10 rating from US.

The biggest issue was the hot water. You had to turn on the water for +5 min for it to get hot. After that it was fantastic showers. The room was large and great. Location was convenient for everything we were doing that week.

This hotel is now a Holiday Inn Express, despite the name here. Very conveniently located near Kemah Boardwalk where we were visiting. Staff were few, but friendly. Room was quite clean, a little older building, but not dirty and nothing broken. Nice breakfast in the morning. Overall, very good for the price. Would recommend.

Everything was fine. The staff was really friendly. The name is NOT Aspen Grand Hotel. So if you're looking for Aspen Grand Hotel, you won't find it. It's actually Holiday Inn Express!

Very Peaceful

My husband and I where there to stay do to a business event. This property was perfect. The breakfast was amazing, and the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. My husband forgot his cell phone charger in the room, and we called the next day. The charger was located, and held at the front desk until we were able to recover it. We would definitely stay again.

Hotel was clean and rooms were large and bed was comfortable. The downside was we could not adjust our ac and if was very hot in room and hallway. Breakfast was subpar. Also tv didn’t work until they came up and helped which made us late for our dinner reservation.

The hotel is really nice, clean, quiet. The only thing that I didn't like was the hotel name is not Aspen Grand Hotel, is Holiday Inn Express so i went around a couple of times looking for Aspen Grand Hotel, also everytime I will go to the front desk there was nobody there and i had to weit 20 minutes.

Family Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Aspen Hotel. When we got to the place, it was a (Holiday Inn) and the signage was being removed, which didn’t affect our stay. It was kind of misleading when they show “(15) Outdoors Pool” in the list of amenities. But there was only one pool and it was very small. The breakfast wasn’t so great, didn’t offer many options. The carpet was dirty but we can tell they tried their best to keep clean. Our rooms were very nice and comfortable, but we can hear people upstairs running around as we were on the second floor. Overall it was affordable and clean for our weekend getaway.

Toilet leaking but service accommodating

The service was nice, very accommodating. Our first room the toilet leaked from under the seals on the floor and flooded the bathroom. The second room, the toilet also leaked but from the tank and it went into the toilet bowl not on the floor. So it was well enough to get through the weekend without too much of a fuss.

The hotel was updated, clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed linens were new with a clean smell, and a nice heavy comforter and very quiet for sleeping. The room is a large suite with separate sitting area with table and chairs, couch and easy chair. There's a desk and chair in the bedroom side as well. It's also equipped with a kitchen ette with microwave, mini fridge, sink, cabinets and Keurig coffee pot. The HVAC kept the room at perfect comfortable temperatures, (winter time stay with one warm day outside and two cold nights outside.) The staff members were polite, friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of available food. I was very pleased with this hotel and I was very comfortable there for a two night restful stay.

Stay at Grand Aspen Hotel in LaPorte,Texas

We were very disappointed with our two night stay.The room had a wet,musty smell.The toilet wouldn't flush.Housekeeping never cleaned the room,emptied trash,made the bed,refilled coffee supplies or picked up the dirty towels and gave us clean ones.We had to go to the front desk and they gave us some clean ones.It was advertised to have several pools,including a swim up bar,and there was only one pool,very small,and very dirty and green.We did not even get in it.On a good note,the breakfasts were excellent in size and presentation and was fresh and hot.The mattress was very comfortable.Access to the hotel was easy and very close to the Interstate.I do not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again.Also,no ice as the machine was out of order.

Horrible Service....

Rarely dont i post bad reviews it is what it is and move on but this was unacceptable lets start with no hot water lukewarm at best, remote to the tv certain buttons worked other didn't, when asked for a new one was told there was nothing they could do. Absolutely no housekeeping to speak of. We asked for more bed sheets for the pull out bed front desk reponsed they don't do that...After our first night, went to the boardwalk and other attractions only to come back with nothing done. No fresh bedding, no clean towels nothing went to the front desk their response was housekeeping marked it was done, aftet a few minutes of requesting at least new towels they gave me a few, we also had to request toilet paper as there wasn't a full roll to begin with. The breakfast was just as bad. Pool was dirty on a good note the kids did like the little gym. Will not go back here again

Breakfast was not as advertised. No hot fresh food like pictured/said on reservation the bagels were hard as rocks and not edible. The pool was “open” but a disgusting green color. Asked for more towels and they only had ONE available. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Check-in and out was easy. Mostly disappointed about the breakfast.
