"Im Canadian and this was my first time in astana. The cab ride to here at night was beautiful, I checked in around 2 am, and there was security and the check in was fast and simple, i slept like a baby, it was very quiet, clean, and very comfortable. For the price, I have zero complaints and am very happy. Id stay here again, I dont mind that its a bit old, it has character and there is lots of cheap food walking distance. "

"Staff were inattentive. At check in I asked to combine my two reservations and was told someone would get back to me, no one did. At check out, it was a near argument with the staff (who were asleep when I was trying to leave) about them saying I needed to have my room checked before I was “allowed” (in his words) to leave. Other staff didn’t speak English and were unhelpful when I tried to communicate over Google translate. My room was not cleaned one of the nights I stayed. I expected more from a hotel of this caliber. "

"We were extremely unhappy with our stay here. 1. It was cold in the room and we couldn’t use the heater, because it doesn’t work during summer time. Reception doesn’t have clue about it, and they were just telling us turn on AC for heat and wait 10 mins. 2. On the reception in the evening there was a random drunk person from the street. There are no any security there. 3. In the hotel restaurant they did not remember the whole order… We were waiting until we asked, and they were like.. “Did you order fish??”.. Of course, after waiting for an hour for the fish, we just decided to cancel it. That was the worst experience in the luxury hotel we had. Honestly, I do not understand why this hotel considered as luxury… I do not recommend anyone to stay here. "
