"The hitching post is exactly what I look for in a place to stay, good price, clean, the rooms were spacious (got the king bed room), staff were quite friendly even calling me the day before to see which way I was coming because of road closures!!! All in all a wonderful stay!!!"

"The inn is an easy, beautiful 25-minute drive away from the North Rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. The proprietors, Nathan and Lara, are very friendly and provided plenty of useful information and recommendations for things to do. The property is beautifully restored and landscaped--attractive and cozy, with everything I needed, including microwave, frig, and dishes, along with a good quality flat screen tv, dvds, and streaming. There's a restaurant across the street and an especially good coffee shop a block away. The town is small but charming and is surrounded by pretty landscapes (check out Needle Rock). I highly recommend this place!"

"Nice glamping experience. Bed was comfortable, coffee good, good location. Separate bathroom was clean and serves 4 cabins. We were there during the week into the weekend. We had the bathrooms to ourselves during the week. All four cabins were filled for the weekend, but no long waits for bathroom access! I am an early riser though. I liked it. Paonia is pretty slow, I would not go back to spend time there. We were OHV riding. "

"Most comfortable bed is stay in anywhere! Amazing views from the porches..Water access is via outside spigots like campgrounds, except they were being overwatered by sprinklers using non- potable irrigation water that you had to get wet accessing, otherwise it was the sink in the bathroom. Sprinklers over sprayed the access road to the cabins, not ideal on a motorcycle. Two bathrooms were creatively installed under a grain bin, however, the only vent was an open window exposing you to showering and using the Lieu..Overall nice, but over priced."
