"Not too much to comment on a single overnight stay, did not require breakfast. Knocked 1 star off service not because there was anything wrong but just seems odd to say it was excellent when my only interaction consisted if being issued with a key. Staff were polite and friendly for this short interaction "

"If you are looking for an elegant, historic, clean yet simple stay then this is the hotel for you in Winchester. The old building is beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly and also very helpful. This was the first time we were travelling with our 4 month old baby and the staff were very accommodating (all staff were but the name Lynn is the one I remember) and helped us store our pram safely without havingto carry it up the stairs several times per day. Great hotel all round, well done and will 100% stay again."

"A fabulous find! Right in the heart of the city, only 7 min walk to the Cathedral and Winchester’s vibrant High Street. Comfortable, tastefully decorated room in complimentary style of the Japanese restaurant below. We will definitely be back! "

"It was a great stay at Queens Road, the host was welcoming and very knowledgeable to assist with the area. The room was clean, tidy and had a lot of amenities. If you want a check in with minimal contact this is a great way to do it. The venue is also great if visiting people at the hospital and the university. It is so close by. I was extremely impressed with the amount and variety provided on the breakfast tray. If you are happy with carbs for breakfast this was fantastic. If you are a high protein breakfaster not so much. I would next time ask prior for Decaf coffee and skimmed milk. The connection for the tv wasn't great but we weren't in the room for long so wasn't a major issue for us. The bathroom was small but I am a large person but was adequate for what you need. It does look a little dated but was clean. As there is instructions to access keys etc I think it would be good to have some instructions or a key drop box for when you leave the property at the end of your stay...that way contact is kept to a minimum and also you know that you have left the keys safely. Overall, I am very impressed with the property and the value for the stay. Thank you "
