"We enjoyed 2weeks in this 2nd floor apartment in a small village near Trier. The location made it easy to visit city landmarks or hike in the nearby forest paths. The apartment was very clean, well furnished and very comfortable. A special bonus was the beautiful outdoor garden, exquisitely maintained by the owners, who are on site. We also appreciated the owners’ extra effort to communicate with us in English."

Manches war einfach noch nicht richtig fertig.Leider mussten wir jeweils einen Tag Urlaub opfern, weil der WLAN Schlüssel nicht da war und er zweite WLAN Schlüssel in der Mail nicht der richtige war. Wie haben denn Code dann gehen 12 Uhr bekommen, was aber leider zu spät war. Der Whirlpool war grün und somit nicht zu benutzen. Es waren viele Kleinigkeiten. "Nach dem freundlichen Empfang nahmen wir die grosse Wohnung in Augenschein. Ein Fest qua Raum und Umfang und der Talblick: grandios Gutsortierte Küche kam durch lokale Läden u. Märkte sehr oft zum Einsatz. Idealer Standort für Winzereibesuchen bis hin nach Luxemburg, Nahe & Ahr sowie preiswert Essen gehen in den umgebenen Dörfern. Unser Wetterglück hielt den ganzen Zeit an; also ein rundherum gelungener Urlaub an diesem Standort. Dank nochmals an die Gastherrin"

"When we were there (June 2025) reception opened at 1600 and was off-site. You had to phone a number to get a key safe code to obtain your room key. When phoning, you hear a recorded message in German. Sadly, we could not understand the message so had to rely on the restaurant staff (who were on site) to help us connect to reception. German speakers would have no problem but non-Germans may have a problem. Another issue we had is that the hotel states it has an EV charging point - it does not! However, there is an ultra fast charger about 500m away next to Aldi. So, if you're hoping to charge overnight whilst sleeping, it's not possible. Once we obtained access all was well. The staff were great, the room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. There is a very good restaurant within the hotel building and the food is excellent. In the morning, breakfast offerings include continental and cooked. Again, excellent quality. All in all, we found this to be a very nice hotel with very helpful staff (once we'd battled the language barrier to actually get in!)"

"Just back from a visit to Idar-Oberstein. Parking was easy, I arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but a staff member was able to quickly get me checked in. Room was perfect for my stay. Hotel is close to the Felsenkirche and castles. The Norma shop is 2 minutes walk away and there are several places to eat in the square."

The hotel rooms are pretty clean and the location is amazing if you like to do more of walking or hiking. It was a bit private place, not much noise from outside. Just pure Nature.
