"This home on Johnson Pond is a lovely, peaceful getaway with everything we needed to enjoy a summer weekend. Access to the pond is right outside the back door with a dock for swimming and fishing and a choice of kayak or paddle boat. We had such fun with our grandson swimming in the pond and going out in the paddle boat. He even caught (and threw back) 3 fish off the dock. The house was very well stocked for cooking, entertainment and water fun. The location of the site was an easy drive from Rte. 95. We were surprised and pleased with how quiet the site and neighborhood were in light of how easy it is to get to and from the highway. It was also very welcoming to our dogs, with a dog bed and blanket in the living room and a fenced in area around the backyard. Our dogs are not water dogs, but if we had one, we know it would have loved jumping off the dock! The owner was easy to reach and an excellent host. The only drawback, at least for my husband and I who are in our senior years, was that the bathroom was on the first floor while the bedrooms were on the second floor. They are not far apart but it takes navigating the stairway each time and it would have been nice ot have had some nightlights in the stairwell and hallways so as not to have had to keep on the lights on those areas through the night. If you do go to this area, we strongly recommend a visit to the Homestead of Gen. Nathaniel Green. It was a wonderful tour."

"House was perfect for a family getaway for an extended weekend. Very clean and stocked. Gas fire pit and sitting on the dock was so relaxing. Kayaking was very fun."

"This lake house is right on the lake...no more than 3 feet between the back of the house and the water. It gives a feeling of being on the water when inside. The place is kept very clean and has all the necessary supplies. Being the next to last house on the street there is a feeling of privacy in spite of all the houses along the street. It is important to note that the bed is a full, not a queen. We did not check out the pullout bed but the sofa and the love seat would likely make adequate sleeping space for kids. We were there just before Memorial Day so though we had couple of hot days it was difficult to judge whether the bedroom window a/c is adequate for the whole house. There is generally a breeze off the water but I wouldn't want to count on that during a heat wave. Overall I would say that you can rent this lake house with confidence that it will be clean, comfortable and allow unobstructed access to the water."
