Comfort in paradise awaits

The best part of staying here is waking early to watch the sunrise from the lanai. I also really appreciate how well stocked the kitchen was and how comfortable the beds are! The location is great and the other guests at the resort are kind and respectful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful place in Maui ***

Wonderful setting, probably the BEST patio view of ocean of the entire condo property. Right on beach, 100% ocean view and top floor. Short walk from parking. Property was well maintained and wonderful. We used it all and had a great visit. Overall property was nice as well, including put golf, pools, and grills. We discovered several awesome restaurants, shops and even got some tattoos locally. Maui is expensive, but this place was worth the investment of memories and the community was great to us. Will be back!

Can't beat the views!

An oceanfront experience... you can watch whales and hear/see the surf from the porch balcony. Everything you need for a comfortable stay including some beach gear and beach towels. A lot of green grass to sit on and watch the ocean, and small sandy beach areas nearby.

A perfect week in Maui.

Our whole family (6 adults, 2 teens, 1 baby) all fit comfortably in this condo. We had everything we needed (inc. baby equipment), were close to all activities and enjoyed the ocean & the pool here. Unfortunately the elevator didn’t work the last two days here so we had to push out teens into carrying up & down. It was a good vacation.

The owner of this property was the best! There were a few issues during our stay but everything was fixed right away. I would email Anna or call her and she was always so helpful and quick to fix. We loved the bed in the master bedroom. The Papakea resort is very kid friendly. My family enjoyed our stay. Thank you Anna and Steve. Aloha!

40th Anniversary

Papakea is very well maintained. Loved the views and really going to miss the morning coffee watching the sunrise. Grand Kids loved the pools and grassy play areas. We enjoyed many evenings on the grass watching the sunsets. Snorkeling was awesome we actually saw about 5 turtles. We have already planned our 2024 trip. Anna the host was great to work with. Mahalo

Prime Ocean View

The view from the lanai did not disappoint! We were able to see whales in the distance, as well as a monk seal and ray playing in the waters right beneath us. The condo can use some upgrades/updates but we knew what to expect from the pictures. The location is an easy walk to the ABC Store, Times Supermarket, BadAss Coffee and other eateries and services. Check in/out was a breeze.

Perfect home base for our Maui trip

We really enjoyed this property, the resort, and the location. My wife and I stayed here with another couple and we were supposed to have two others stay with us (but they dropped out). We had more than enough room for 4 people and it would've been fine for 6+ as well. We enjoyed the beach access and beautiful views of the ocean, islands, and sunset. We used the snorkel equipment and got to swim with sea turtles right in front of the resort! Definitely a highlight of our trip. The space was clean and had everything we needed. Walking distance to a convenience store which is nice for picking up beverages, snacks, ice, etc. Would recommend booking here.

Most beautiful view

The view from the balcony is amazing! It’s the best part of the condo for sure. My family loved snorkeling out front but said everywhere there snorkeled on the island was different, and they loved it all. We had a great family week in Maui and were very pleased with the location of this condo. It is within walking distance to many food options and shopping. We had 8 in our group and we were all comfortable staying here. The only problem we had was upon check-in, I did not have a door code, which the owner thought they had sent to me, so our check-in was delayed by 30-45 minutes while I tried to contact the owner. Make sure you have the email with your code before you arrive at the resort. Other than that, we had the trip of a lifetime and created memories we will cherish forever.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful view and a great location. We cooked several times and had no issues with the supplies provided. Did several loads of laundry with no problem. I would stay at this resort again. My only issue, we had several places at this resort to chose from and we picked this place because it had the amenities, space, and location we wanted including air conditioning. However, it was a huge inconvenience that we got a message a week before that the air conditioning would not be available due to repairs. The loft area was unbearable and even though fans were provided throughout the condo, my children ended up sleeping on the floor of the master because it was too hot for them in the loft. I understand that owners can't control repair isssues etc and maybe I should have spoken up but it was already paid for and canceling was not on the table. It was HOT! Sorry. My advice, make sure you have air. Even with all windows open and the wonderful breeze, if you have anyone planning on sleeping in the loft, fans won't cut it. We were unlucky that we just happened to be there the week or so that the owners decided/needed to repair/upgrade the air. Stinks for us. Would of been nice if the owners would have acknowledged that inconvenience. But with all that said, it is a wonderful property, great location, nice pool, and beachfront property. I would highly recommend as long as the air is working if you plan on having anyone sleep in the loft area.

Family Fun

The property itself and the unit were perfect for our family. Clean, open, airy, right on the beach. Good snorkeling! First time the teens had ever been in an ocean that was warm! Great location for sightseeing and checking out other beaches. Owners were prompt and thoughtful when we had a problem with the ice maker. Would definitely rent the unit again. Amazing view

Amazing view. Worked just fine for our family of 6. Some things were a little outdated but that didn’t bother us. Owners were amazing to work with as our flight was canceled and put us a day behind. Would stay again for sure.

Excellent place to stay. Owners are very nice, communicative and flexible. It is absolutely beautifully decorated, very spacious, incredible ocean views (sunsets are amazing) and a great location. You feel very safe too. 5 stars for sure!

Maui 2022

The facilities were nice and the grounds were beautiful! Our view was spectacular, too. We loved hearing the waves all night long. We enjoyed the use of the InstantPot because we had a large group. But there was not enough seating for 11 people without sitting at the couch and using the coffee table. A few things need help. When we called about a leaking shower head in the master and a shower door that was not right, it wasn't promptly fixed. That was frustrating. The queen bed upstairs was very uncomfortable. A new mattress is needed. The buttons are upfront on the stove and are easily turned on just by bumping them. They were accidentally turned on 3 times. That was dangerous! Speaking of the stove, one drawer wouldn't open all the way because the oven door was in the way. We were charged an air conditioning fee for an air conditioner we couldn't use. It was mounted too high and impossible to control. The pool was a little chilly, too. We were also charged an extra tax even after we paid IN FULL our entire condo fee.

Great whale watching

Unit was WONDERFUL for the whale watching season. Spent lots of time on patio. The 2 bedroom and a loft worked for our family. All 3 of the bathrooms are in need of a remodel, plumbing problems should be fixed between guests. We made the best of the situation.

Great property for whale watching!!

This condo was the perfect place to stay for whale watching!! We loved waking up each morning and eating breakfast on the lanai while watching whales breach. As the description states, it is a tight fit for a big group, but a cost effective way to vacation in Maui. The owner was great to work with, especially during the pandemic. The only thing we noticed with the condo that wasn’t fully functioning was the spray nozzle in the master shower was broken. The main shower head worked great! I doubt the owners even knew about it. Would definitely stay here again!

Maui Paradise

Great location! Relaxing and fun! We enjoyed the views of the ocean from the porch. The condo had plenty of sleeping options. The kitchen had all the necessary tools and appliances.
