Amazing Oceanview 1-Bdrm/1-Bath Maui at Papakea Kaanapali - No Resort Fee

Let the sound of the surf lull you to sleep and wake up in paradise! This spectacular second floor oceanview unit features breathtaking views of the island of Molokai from the lanai. Our condo is only steps from the water's edge and offers direct access to world-famous Kaanapali Beach. Enjoy beautiful sunsets each night or your morning cup of Kona coffee from your private lanai. Watch cruise ships sailing to nearby Lahaina and the distant evening lights on Molokai. Our lovely home-away-from-home is in great condition and it faces north so it stays nice and cool throughout the entire day. The location of my unit in building K keeps it very quiet. It sleeps four to five with a king-size bed in the master, and a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room. STATE OF HAWAII TAX ID NUMBER: W54026201-01 TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX REGISTRATION and GENERAL EXCISE TAX LICENSE. The unit provides all the conveniences of home with a washer/dryer, air conditioning with ceiling fans, two flat screen TV's, complimentary wire-less internet, and ample parking. We request that guests honor Papakea's non-smoking policy. There are designated smoking areas throughout the complex. There are also elevators in each building, and the property is handicap friendly.
Papakea Resort is a four story, oceanfront, condominium complex located between Kaanapali and Kapalua. It is situated on 13 Beautiful Tropical Acres with swaying palm trees, freshwater Koi ponds, fragrant tropical flowers and Tiki Torches illuminating the walkways during the evenings. Also located on the grounds are two swimming pools (Lanai pool is heated), 2 large Jacuzzi's, multiple gas BBQ's located by the pools, 2 meticulously groomed putting greens, 2 shuffleboard courts and 3 lighted tennis courts. Don't forget to take pictures, you'll see some of Maui's most stunning sunsets with unobstructed panoramic views. During the Winter and Spring months also enjoy oceanfront viewing of the migrating humpback whales.
This property is located in between Ka'anapali and Kapalua and is just minutes away from downtown Lahaina. Walking distance to the grocery store! Close to ocean activities, shopping, restaurants, golf, and much more! There is a friendly concierge who can arrange island activities: luaus, whale watching tours in season, sailing, snorkeling trips, golf, biking down the volcano, and so much more.

Another great stay at Papakea Resort. The place was as described and very clean. Fully furnished kitchen. Papakea is close to several restaurants and food trucks. It has two pools and two hot tubs on location. The place overlooks the pool and 12 hole putting green. Cannot go wrong with this one.

Great quick stay

We had a great time staying here. We were in Maui for just a quick trip but found this place to be perfect for what we needed. We used the beach chairs and umbrellas multiple days and really thought it was a great perk to be able to have those and not need to rent any from the different beaches. We enjoyed watching the sunset every night and even saw some whales from the property!

Stay at Papakea

Absolutely love the resort. From tennis to pickleball, the resort has lots of activities. The unit itself is also great. It is well stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, kitchen utensils and much more. Would highly recommend staying here.

Truly enjoyable location to stay with ocean views. The condo is comfortable and had amenities needed for our stay. The location is walkable to nice locations to eat and accessible to beach front associated with the property. The condo association fees were reasonable for what was offered. Lovely visit to Maui made even better with this location.

Great little spot for a family

My husband and I stayed here with my one year old daughter. The location is central to everything and the unit is very well equipped with kitchen supplies and beach supplies. Laundry in unit and a pull out couch. Also, a shower and half bath tub, so good for little ones baths! We would stay again! The owner was very responsive to phone calls and texts. Thank you!

Beautiful stay

My wife and our 15 month old had a fantastic time. The condo had everything that we needed and the view from the Lanai was perfect. It is in the shade most of the day which makes it great to sit outside and get out of the sun for an hour or two in the afternoon. The place stayed cool with the AC on as well. As others have said, it could use some updating for sure, but everything worked well and we would stay here again!

Perfect piece of paradise!

The property and unit were exactly what we expected! The location is fabulous. There are a number of recreational activities to do while staying. The unit itself was exactly as described. We used the pullout couch as a bed and it worked great for our party of 4. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. I will definitely use this place again when we return to Hawaii!

Nice location

We had a great stay at Papakea yet again. This unit worked well for us. The lanai only gets a little morning sun so we could sit out and not get burned. The view over the pool area and out to sea were wonderful! You can't quite see the sunset from the unit, but it is a short walk out to the seawall for a wonderful view. The unit had everything you need, but things are starting to feel dated. It had a surprisingly comfortable hide-a-bed!

The ocean view from the lanai was fabulous -- exceeded expectations, and the grounds are lovely. Such a peaceful setting. Nice pool areas, cute mini golf course and wonderful lawn area that puts you right on the ocean for sunning, relaxation and sunset watching. Not really a beach to speak of directly in front, depending on tide, but walk 3 min to the left and you're on a beach. It was also a great location with convenient access to restaurants, beach areas, grocery stores, and a good base for road tripping to other parts of the island. Condo was well stocked with essentials plus extras, such as coolers, beach chairs, snorkeling fins, etc. I would definitely recommend to others.

ABC store

The ABC store is a one minute walk, very convenient. The view on the balcony is mostly blocked by the plumeria tree so that was disappointing. You can not walk out to a beach off the property and even down the path not much of a beach. We spent most of our time at another beach. It was very nice to have a lot of beach toys available in the unit. The property is very pretty with lots of mature trees.

Beautiful view, but…

Location, grounds, and view were wonderful! The unit itself was very much in need of updating and deep cleaning! Bedroom fan had a thick layer of dust on it, batteries needed replacing in air conditioner remote, tv remote and wall clock and air conditioner filter needed cleaning. Dead lei was hanging off dining room lamp and doors and cabinets very dingy/dirty. Couch appeared soiled and we immediately covered it with a sheet. A deep cleaning and upgrade definitely recommended! Having said that, we enjoyed the view and location very much!
