Wonderful Stay
Could not have found a better place to stay in Honfleur. The apartment was within walking distance of dozens of excellent restaurants, two convenience stores, banks, and museums. The view from our window overlooked the harbour and the Normandy bridge. Helene was an excellent host and we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days.

The place was very convenient to everything we wanted. Honfleur is an amazing town. We were within walking distance to everything we needed. If I had to point out some critiques, it was noisy, which we were aware of when we booked and it is in what we in the states call a ‘strip mall’ and it felt a little commercial. I did feel I needed to pre-wash the flatware and drinking glasses. Maybe I am too picky. However, we were comfortable and we were not in the apartment for long periods of time. It had a good connection for WiFi.

Honfleur Magic
This property is exactly what you see - very clean, close to the action, and free parking nearby if needed. Helene has a very detailed orientation that addresses every issue. And the community is magical. There is no wonder artists have gathered here for years.

Lovely apartment
Helena met us at the apartment and gave us lots of information on restaurants shops and places to visit. We found the information very informative and appreciated her kindness. The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. The only negative was the apartment is situated on a busy road and the noise of the early morning traffic woke us up early😂😂 but apart from that we loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Lovely Honfleur
We were happy with the location of the apartment and it was just as described. It had everything we needed in terms of facilities, cooking equipment etc. Our host Helene was very welcoming and ensured we knew where everything was, gave us a full outline of local attractions and the best places to eat locally. Helene also went out of her way to help us to see a doctor locally when my husband developed an abscess and this was invaluable as we would possibly not have managed without her assistance. Honfleur is a lovely place and the apartment is a very short walk from the beautiful centre. Well worth a visit.

Honfleur Apartment
Fantastic vievs overlooking the estuary, great location, two minutes walk to the harbour. Parking for £5 a day just over the river. The apartment was spacious and had plenty of storage . Kitchen was well equipped. Helene was great and gave us good direction for some amazing restaurants. The only downfall was the apartment was tired looking and needs a good clean in the shower room and toilet... floor's were grubby and pillows on the bed very uncomfortable. Apart from that we had a fabulous time.

Dear Vivienne, Thank you for all the good you had to write about our apartment. Sorry you did not apreciate our pillows. They are of quality but they cannot satisfy all shape of heads and necks. This is why there are four of them, different shapes and density in order to please the different needs of our guests. Again, sorry you did not find one suiting you. We read you found the floor "grubby", but with all due respect, my husband and I were the ones doing the cleaning the day of your arrival and please, trust us: the floor was vacuumed and washed right before your arrival. There are things we can let you write and others that are really unfair. And this one is. Finally, it seems you wrote more good things than bad things about the quality and situation of the apartment and we find your 3*** a bit severe. Take care, Helene and Daniel

Delightful apartment
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this apartment.The light and cheerful decor brightened our stay in a rather rainy week, the furniture was comfortable and the kitchen well, equipped. Daniel's advice on parking and places to go in Honfleur was greatly appreciated, especially as our plans for sightseeing in Normandy were curtailed by the fuel strike. We found plenty to interest us in and around Honfleur and it was nice to have a view of the boats outside the window.

Perfect base in Honfleur
The apartment is perfectly placed for an enjoyable holiday. It is a short stroll to the old harbour and all shops and restaurants are easily accessible. The apartment is very easy to find, right by the Mercure Hotel, and there is free parking a few metres away. The owners are very accommodating and we found all communication ahead of and during our stay to be very helpful and professional. The apartment is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need to self cater. We would certainly return if we visit Honfleur again and have no hesitation in recommending.

Comfortable and very clean and chic apartment!
Helene and Daniel were very accommodating and kind! Daniel showed us the free parking lot near the apartment. The apartment is decorated beautifully with beautiful bed linens and a great bed. It is a spacious apartment and spotless. I always look for white decor when looking for a listing. We often book with VRBO and Helene checked all the boxes. Beautiful armoire with plenty of hangers, hooks and shelves. There was a very comfortable sofa in the living room as well. The apartment is about a five minute walk to the harbor which is spectacular. A little coffee shop with very good espresso is a few doors away and serves beer in the afternoon although you will probably want to sit in a cafe in the harbor for most of your meals! The little harbor looks like a painting with many artists who have “captured light” there. The light changes the harbor throughout the day and makes it look completely different as each hour passes. It is remarkable. My husband and I were thrilled to stay in Honfleur. It exceeded our expectations. It should not be missed and our hosts could not have been more gracious!

A pleasant stay, lovely welcome by helpful hosts
The property is a third floor one bedroom apartment neatly decorated, with all desired amenities. The property overlooks a canal where the river cruise boats moor so there's always something going on. It's a short walk into the heart of Honfleur, literally 5 minutes. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome by Daniel on our arrival. He took the time to point out recommendations and had a prepared map, which was extremely thoughtful. He and Helene were very helpful over our stay.

Perfect finish to a Month in France!
My wife and I were celebrating our 50th anniversary with a month in France. We wanted to complete our journey with tour of WWII sites of Normandy but also relax. Helene and Daniel’s flat exceeded our expectations! Check in with Daniel was easy. He waited for us as we drove our rental car from Deauville. He directed us to free parking lot and gave us tour of apartment. Apartment was very secure with elevator to 3 rd floor. It had beautiful view of harbor, was fully stocked with supplies, had modern appliances, and a very comfortable bed! The town is very charming with plenty of shops and sites to explore. We highly recommend for a relaxing romantic getaway!

Excellent location and privacy
The accommodation was pretty, comfortable and quiet. The only reasons we do not give it 5 Stars is that the check in person seemed to have no understanding of the Covid risks (unmasked, stood too close, etc), and the owner called and awoke us late at night wanted to come in and check how we took care of her property and do check out while we were SLEEPING ! We were paying for a quiet place to sleep and she disturbed us to the point we could not get back to sleep. We are elderly travelers, just looking for a quiet rest, and have no indication we might throw a party. We have stayed thousands of places all over the world and never experienced this.

Here is what happened: the day before your departure I realized you were leaving early morning the day after and that I needed to give your 200€ deposit in the evening as neither myself, nor Daniel would have been able to see you early morning. I called you at around 9:15pm which I do not consider "late at night". Please accept my apology as I woke you. I explained to you that I wanted to give you your deposit back this same evening and that Daniel was going to slide the money under the apartment front door. I absolutely never mentionned a "check-out". As a matter of fact, Daniel and I never do "check-out" . We just give back our customers their deposit back and say goodbye to them. I am sorry for this misunderstanding and hope you now believe my intentions were good. Wishing you a nice evening

A magical stay
We have just returned from Honfleur and had an absolutely amazing time in Normandy. The apartment was perfect in every way - right in the heart of downtown Honfleur. We wandered through the winding and beautiful streets every day, enjoying being part of the town. There was nothing that we needed that the apartment didn't have available - it is perfect! We enjoyed an almost daily trip to the Poissonnerie Les Embruns for the most amazing mussels and oysters we've ever had. Our hosts were absolutely lovely - they made everything so welcoming and easy for us. We are already looking at a return trip in 2022 and will absolutely return to the Amirauté.

Perfection Location
This was the perfect little apartment for a couple to enjoy Honfleur, with just a ten minute walk to the old harbor and all the restaurants and conveniences. It was easy to find with good free parking close by which is always a bonus in historic old towns. The apartment was clean with a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and cozy living room. Our hosts Helene and Michel were very welcoming and available if we had any questions.

Nice apartment close to the old town
My husband and I stayed in Hélène's apartment for one week in July. We enjoyed the week and appreciated being in easy walking distance of the old town with its vast array of restaurants. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, although just the minimum and the appliances are quite old. We booked knowing the apartment was on a main road and there have been previous comments about the noise, but thought that this wouldn't worry us. Unfortunately the noise of traffic is a major problem here, with motorbikes and cars accelerating after the roundabout. The windows are quite good at sound proofing, but it meant that we had to keep them closed to even hear the television, let alone sleep, and this makes the apartment quite stuffy. However there is a fan and despite the heat wave we didn't find it too hot. We were fortunate in always managing to park the car in the street outside. This is metered parking, but not a problem overnight and we were out every day so only had to pay in the mornings. The only other options for parking are some distance away. Hélène met us at the beginning and the end of our stay and was very friendly and helpful with lots of local recommendations. If you do book here be aware that you need to pay the deposit in cash which is refunded when you leave.

Dear Sue, Thank you for your review. What a long trip back home for you! It was a pleasure welcoming you in our apartment. The apartment is 500 meters away from downtown Honfleur. It was our choice to buy an apartment dowtown so that our guests would not have to use a car to visit Honfleur. It is true that Honfleur is the 4th most visited town of France and gets busy in August. Concerning the parking lots, one is right down the apartment, where you parked, the free parking is at 300 meters away and the third parking, (4€ for 24 hours), not even 600 meters away. Concerning the apliances, they are less than a year old. Nevertheless, we take in consideration all of your comments. Thank you again for staying with us!

Family break at Honfleur
When we arrived at Honfleur we were met by Helene and she had reserved a car parking space for us just outside. The property at Honfleur was of a very high standard with everything we needed for our stay. We were shown around and were told to contact her if any problems arose, but none did. She informed us of local restaurants where we could obtain quality food at reasonable prices and of local landmarks . The apartment was conveniently sited for the supermarket and short walk to Honfleur. She and her husband were super hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The only downside was the entrance to the apartment from the street, which was a little dismal, but which was more than compensated for by the higher quality of the very bright apartment. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Great decor and accessible location
Overall this property was a very good value for the price. It was extremely clean, comfortable and well decorated. We took advantage of the kitchen and washer and dryer. The location was accessible to all of Honfleur sites. The only drawback was the street noise, we needed to sleep with the windows open because of the temperatures and the street noise, especially on weekend nights was quite loud. During the week it was quieter.

Easy, Breezy Honfleur
Great location for exploring Honfleur on foot - everything is within a few minutes walk. Apartment is exactly how it looks in the photos. Wasn't too hot, even with the high temperatures - the breeze through the windows was great. Although one problem with having the windows open all night - the noise from the scooters below. Very useful free parking nearby, that we found usually available. Travelling with our dog, so the vet downstairs was perfect!

The apartment is situated in a commercial strip mall .
We were disappointed with our location sandwiched between Two budget hotels .The view was obstructed by tourists buses 90 per cent of the time .In the morning it is a great wake up call to the sound of the commercial traffic delivering food and materials to the restaurants in the Vieux Bassin .We had no assigned parking and had to walk on three occasions 2 km to long term parking .I do not recommend this apt to young couples or anyone who is not in great shape !The apt itself is clean and neat with one English speaking tv channel with intermittent service .We were there 8 days and were only able to listen to the BBC twice .This property owner lives a half hour away and is very disturbed to receive calls at night .She works during the day and never thoroughly explained how to use the tv .With no pamphlets on the coffee maker and laundry we had to resort to logic to use both .I was so frustrated I had to go to the cafe for coffee in the morning .My husband wound up taking his clothes to the lavanderie .The entrance way was institutional ,and the long corridors reemphasized a very unwelcome entry .My advice if you are on a budget go to Hotels nearby .At least you will have a charming cafe and a concierge that is helpful and accessible .The apt pictures on the internet were accurate .But let the buyer beware that the terminus for all Le Havre ships and Paris buses drop their passengers directly under the window starting at 8 am .If you want photos to substantiate my statements I will furnish them to VRBO .The other two parking area are 4 euros per hour or completely filled by the people working in the commercial strip or occupied by the hotel guests arriving by car .

You will forgive me as I have no comment on your review. You are an unhappy customer and I am sorry for that. I cannot change the way you feel and/or the way you see things. Nevertheless, I advise the readers to read the other reviews about the apartment to get the feeling of over 99.999% customers about their stay in the apartment. What makes things interesting is that they pretty much talk about all the complaints you have. They just look at it as assets. You did not like the apartment and I hope you will keep a good memory of beautiful Honfleur.

Perfect location; perfect place to stay!
Helene is a wonderful host! Extremely friendly and helpful providing good and accurate information to get one started on their Normandy experience. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. The bed and bedding were very good and we had many restful nights. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to the heart of Honfleur, bus station across the street, one grocery store 2 minutes away and several good restaurants within a 5 to 15 minute walk from the apartment. We strongly recommend this VRBO property to any traveler to the Normandy region of France. Absolutely perfect for a couple who want to get away. Thank you very much Helene!

Very comfortable flat within easy reach of the old centre of Honfleur
Despite a lot of rain, we spent four very enjoyable days in Honfleur. Hélène and Daniel were very helpful. Their apartment is stylish and comfortable with views of the Pont de Normandie and the Quai Tostain. It has all the equipment you could possibly want and it is within easy walking distance of the old centre.

Superb Stay in Honfleur
The apartment is wonderful and the hostess, Helen, is terrific. The apartment is ideally located with a view of the East Basin and comes equipped with everything you need. Helene met us and described all the features of the apartment and her restaurant and store recommendations were spot on. If there more stars available I would give a higher rating! Go to gorgeous Honfleur and stay at this apartment.

TRADUCTION Superbe séjour à Honfleur L'appartement est merveilleux et l'hôtesse, Hélène, est géniale. L'appartement est idéalement situé avec une vue sur le bassin de l'Est et est équipé de tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Hélène nous a accueillis et nous a expliqué toutes les caractéristiques de l'appartement. Ses recommandations pour les magasins et les restaurants étaient parfaites. S'il y avait eu la possibilité de donner plus de 5 étoiles, je l'aurai fait! Allez visiter le merveilleux Honfleur et restez dans cet appartement.

Property is just like the pictures. Good views from all windows. Quiet at night. Clean and tidy.
A four night stay. Two days going round Honfleur, all within walking distance. The centre is pretty and busy, but within a few minutes you can be out in the parks, walking along the shoreline, .. Spent a day touring the delightful small villages nearby.

TRADUCTION L’appartement est exactement comme sur les photos. Jolie vue de toutes les fenêtres. Tranquille la nuit. Propre et bien rangé. Sommes restés 4 jours. 2 jours à Honfleur ou tout se visite à pied. Le centre est joli et il y a du monde et à quelques minutes de là, vous vous trouvez dans des parcs et à marcher le long de la mer. Nous avons passé une journée à visiter les charmants villages aux alentours.

Lovely apartment in an enchanting town
Helene’s apartment is light, bright, clean and airy. The location is perfect for visiting all of Honfleur and enjoying all this lovely town has to offer (including the many fine restaurants on the old port)! The apartment itself is delightful with a very comfortable bed and bedding. The washer/dryer came in handy and the nearby grocery store (Casino) was a plus for picking up some essentials. And there’s even an elevator! The owners, Hélène and Daniel, are lovely and helpful and in the area if needed. All in all, we were delighted with our stay here!

Beautifully located, and has an elevator
A well appointed, small apartment with small but serviceable appliances and kitchen, good bed, great view and lots of operable windows and a fan. Could use a cozy chair, but the couch was adequate. The host could not have been more courteous and friendly, from Canada and speaks great English. The elevator is a real plus as the spiral stairs that are found most often in French apartments can be daunting. Parking not guaranteed, but we found free parking every day we were there.

Handy and homely
We had a great few days in the apartment, close to all amenities and with a great view toward the Normandy bridge and the basin. The apartment is well equipped and cosy, and only a few minutes walk from the centre of Honfleur. Also a great centre to explore Normandy.

Wonderful apartment - well apointed with great facilities
We stayed for three nights in Honfleur. The flat was well located about 5 minutes walk from the centre but with easy and free parking available adjacent to the flat. The bed was comfortable, all the kitchen items and shower worked well and the lounge/dining area was comfortable. Not just somewhere to sleep but to stay. The hosts were excellent very friendly and helpful. The weather was bad during our stay hence we did not go out much, so the flat was a perfect base with excellent wifi.

Clean, convenient and helpful owner.
Helene was very helpful! We had a wonderful experience in Honfleur. The apartment was only a couple of blocks from the harbor. Everyone in Honfleur was thoughtful and most spoke English enough to be helpful with ordering food, directions and anything else. Helene was available to help if we needed any. Convenient parking was just up the street (200 ft.). The apartment was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Helene speaks flawless English and has a great sense of humor. We were just feet away from the harbor where river cruise ships dock. Enjoy your stay in a beautiful historic town.

TRADUCTION: propre, bien situé et propriétaire serviable. Hélène nous a beaucoup aidés! Honfleur a été une magnifique expérience. L'appartement est à seulement 2 pâtés de maison du vieux bassin. Les Honfleurais se sont montrés attentionnés et la plupart parlaient suffisamment anglais pour prendre nos commandes dans les restaurants. Helene s'est rendue disponible en cas de besoin. Il y a un parking gratuit à quelques mètres de l'appartement.L'appartement était très propre, bien décoré et très confortable. Hélène parle un anglais parfait et a un bon sens de l'humour. L'appartement donne sur les bateaux de croisière à quai. Profitez de votre séjour dans cette belle ville historique.

Wonderful Apartment Great Location
My wife and I just spent a week at this property and loved it. The apartment was everything the ad promised. It was clean, bright and had a nice view towards the Normandy Bridge. It was easily accessible by car with a free parking lot less than a block away. If that lot is full there are pay lots nearby as well (including right in front of the apartment building. The apartment is well equipped to cook meals in if you don't want to eat out. We ate all of our breakfasts and several suppers at the apartment. There is a grocery store with a somewhat limited selection around the corner from the apartment. If you want a more extensive selection there are a couple larger stores within a few minutes drive. If you wish to dine out, there are countless cafés within a short walking distance. The apartment is within a 5 minute walk to the very picturesque Vieux Basin and the historic district of Honfleur. Four museums are also within easy walking distance: the Erik Satie House, Eugene Bodin Museum, Maritime Museum, and the Musée d'Ethnographie. If you want to save some money, at any of the museums you can purchase a package of tickets to all four museums for half the price of individual tickets. The D-Day Beaches are an easy hour to 1.5 hour drive away, depending upon which beach you wish to visit. The owners Helene and Daniel were great to deal with. I would have no hesitation at all recommending this property to anyone visiting Honfleur.

TRADUCTION MERVEILLEUX APPARTEMENT BIEN PLACE Ma femme et moi-même avons passé une semaine dans cet appartement et nous avons beaucoup aimé. L'appartement correspondait exactement à son descriptif. Il est propre, lumineux et a une jolie vue sur le pont de Normandie. Il est facile d'accès en voiture et il y a un parking gratuit juste à coté. L'appartement est bien équipé si vous voulez cuisiner. Il y a un petit supermarché au coin de la rue. Il y en a 2 plus grands à quelques minutes en voiture. Si vous désirez diner dehors, il y a une grande quantités de restaurants dans lesquels vous pouvez vous rendre à pied. L'appartement est à 5 minutes à pied du vieux bassin et du centre historique de Honfleur. Il y a 4 musés à Honfleur et les plages du débarquement sont à environ 1 heure/1 heure et demi. Les propriétaires Hélène et Daniel sont faciles d'abord. Je recommande sans hésitation cet appartement à quiconque vient visiter Honfleur.

Great flat and great location
HI We - 2 adults and a large dog - stayed in the apartment for 3 nights in July 17. We loved the easy access to the historic parts at the old harbor while at the same time being a bit "around the corner". The flat is top modern with all amenities and with easy access by stairs and elevator. Our dog appreciated the flat too and the easy access to the open space on the other side of the harbor bassin. Clean Convenient Comfortable
The five star experience starts with the owner. On initial contact through VRBO, Helene offered to Skype with us. We were met at the modern apartment by her husband who even helped carry our luggage . We were called during our stay to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. There is a new elevator to this 3rd floor unit. You can see the river boat cruisers across the street. This apartment is next door to a four star hotel that charges twice as much for a night's stay. Therefore, my second five star rating is for value. Another star is for location. Everything was incredibly convenient. Our dog was ill and it turned out that there was a veterinarian downstairs. The bank is on the corner. The bus station is across the street. The supermarket is on the next block. This is the perfect spot to start an exploration of Honfleur. It is a 3 minute walk to the very dense tourist center but is still in a breathable zone. The light filled apartment is neat and clean with attractive and comfortable bedding . We were able to find street parking but this may be less available at the height of the season. There was 24 hour parking across the way for 4 Euros per day. With much thanks to Helene and Daniel.

TRADUCTION: Propre, bien situé, confortable. L'expérience 5 étoiles commence avec la propriétaire. Lors de notre premier contact avec VRBO (abritel USA), Hélène nous a proposé de skyper. C'est son mari qui nous accueillis dans cet appartement moderne et nous a aidé avec nos bagages. Les propriétaires nous ont appelé durant notre séjour pour savoir si nous passions du bon temps. Il y a un ascenseur tout neuf pour nous conduire au 3ème étage, la ou se situe l'appartement.De l'autre côté de la rue, nous avons une vue sur les grands bateaux de croisière. Cet appartement est mitoyen à un hôtel 4 étoiles ou les prix sont le double pour une nuit. Par conséquent, ma deuxième raison pour 5 étoiles est le rapport qualité-prix. Encore une étoile pour la situation de l'appartement. Tout est si facile pour se déplacer. Notre chien est tombé malade et il y a un vétérinaire en bas de l'appartement. Il y a une banque au coin de la rue. La gare des bus en face de l'appartement. Le supermarché a un pâté de maison. C'est l’endroit idéal pour découvrir Honfleur. Le centre historique est à 3 minutes, il y a du monde, mais pas trop. L'appartement est lumineux, propre et la literie à la fois jolie et très confortable. Nous n'avons pas eu de problème pour nous garer, ce qui n'est peut-être pas le cas en haute-saison. Il y a un parking à 4€ la journée de l'autre côté de la rue..
