"The room was very clean, no odor, bed and pillows were comfy. Staff were accommodating and kind. The bistro/restaurant has AMAZING food. I mean really, really tasty food. Honestly, I have NO idea why people would complain about this hotel. It is a historic hotel and almost 200 years old. I think you'd have to be a half-brained nitwit to expect it to be modern looking inside. As for the ghosts....I didn't get to see or hear any while we visited. I stayed in Rm 207. I would definitely stay here again."

"This property was simply magical. Four of us stayed here, and all of us loved the personal attention the owner provided, the ambiance of the house, and the historic neighborhood where it was situated. "

"The home was very comfortable, the hosts were always quick to respond to my questions. Our view was beautiful. We came to spread my brother’s ashes, and the house was right around the corner from where his shop used to be. It was like it was meant to be. This was the perfect place for us to stay. Thank you so much! I wish there was a guest book to write in, but that would be my only suggestion. "

"The property was beautiful and the host was very responsive and even checked in with us before check in with a complimentary call before our arrival whoch i thought was nice it was just hard to hear as i was on back roads. There was a little issue with the other tenants dogs but we have dogs and lived on top of one that barked 24/7 so were kind of used to it and their dogs theres not much you can do. There also was no internet connection when we got the but the host fixed that for us right away. The small town was nice and the property had beautiful views and plenty of outdoor sitting areas as well as a beautiful wrap around deck that the dogs loved to look over into the fields. I would definitely recommend this property and the host for any stay!"
