A big thank you to Star, the owner, for being so helpful to us. A last minute "situation" (literally, last minute) almost derailed the stay, and Star could not have been more helpful and accomodating....she truly cared that our stay was a great one. Mission accomplished. The residence is a super layout...Tahoe Pines is the perfect neighborhood for bikes, and access to Tahoe City and Homewood, without being in the middle of either of them. Perfect for walks, access to the lake (there is a pier)...biking (which we could do, even in late April), and "bear" watching (which we were treated to one morning in the driveway! In any event, thanks again...a great respite, and we'll be back!

Just what we hoped for!
The house was exactly what we needed and just what we hoped for! Three bedrooms AND three bathrooms, a large open living/dining/kitchen area. Great location on a quiet street, but just a block away from the lake. LOVE the West Shore! Love this house!

Perfect Spot
We were guest with family and pets. Loved the location, the place was super clean, and comfortable. We lived that the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We all had a great time, and the neighbors are super friendly.

Great place!
Location was great with very easy access to homewood and Tahoe City. The home was very spacious with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We appreciated the open floor plan in the living spaces which allowed us to spread out but still be together. Bedrooms were plenty big with lots of storage space. The kids room with bunk beds and futons was much bigger than we expected - in addition to all the beds it also had a large dining/game table, but still had more than enough space for the crew! The owner/property manager was helpful and responsive. Overall a great stay and we’d happily return!

Fantastic House
This house was great, even better than I expected. I would have appreciated a more clear and specific heads up about the electric fence that would be on the front door since we arrived late at night and I had never seen one of those before. (Though I know now they are typical in that neighborhood.) So if you're booking this house, just read about the electric fence before you show up. But this house was awesome, would most definitely love to stay here again :)

This was a great house to stay in Tahoe! It was perfect for our family of four (more beds than we needed!) and we loved being able to have the dog with us! The owner left detailed instructions to help with the stay. Very happy with this property!

Tahoe Pines Trip
Very nice property. Really enjoyed our stay. We have 3 young kids and they enjoyed the upstairs room with couch, bunkbeds, games and TV. Very warm and cozy downstairs living room/kitchen area. Location was very convenient for skiing, sledding and shops. Would highly recommend.

Huge home with everything you need!
The house was huge, very clean and well stocked! The roads in and out of the community were regularly plowed and the location was central to everything Tahoe offers. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving at this lovely, spacious, super clean cabin. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed for our family of four adults. It is well located within walking distance to the lake/beach. So happy to have found such a wonderful place to spend the Thanksgiving holiday.

Great time! Lake is within walking distance, quite neighborhood. Cabin was clean, was missing a grille cleaner for the bbq so had to buy one, left it for the next person, otherwise everything was good.

Great family cabin
Our family had a wonderful stay in this forested peaceful neighborhood. The chill location was the perfect base camp for adventures and exploration around Lake Tahoe. The cabin is comfortable, and well equipped to cook every meal. Starr is an excellent communicator. We hope to stay again!

Perfect ski rental
We loved our time the West Shore cabin, close to skiing, close to Tahoe City and grocery stores. Great kitchen for after ski snacks and dinners and hearty pre-ski breakfasts. We loved the large coffee table for working on a puzzle of the national parks every evening. Would rent again.

Amazing house for a family Vacation!
We rented this house after a blizzard so there was so much snow. The house is located on my favorite part of the lake (the west shore). The owner provides you with everything you need to know in the info packet (had I read it I wouldn't have had ANY questions, but unfortunately I didn't and needed to reach out to our host who was delightful and responsive). The house is so comfortable and has everything you need for a great vacation. Don't pass on this house! We will definitely rent it again, this time in the summer so we can enjoy the lake!

Awesome cabin
This was the second time we stayed at this cabin and it is one of our absolute favorites. Cabin is very clean, well kept and well equipped with lots of hooks for clothes, night lights, games etc. Small details do make a difference. We also love the big room for the kids to hang out and have a sleepover in. We will for sure be back.

Great winter stay
Owner is very responsive with any inquiries. Easy check in. Plenty of space to spread out. Well stocked kitchen. Tankless water heater so you won’t run out of hot water :) 5 minute walk to the beach where our toddler played in the snow. Great neighborhood to just take a stroll. couple minute drive to the nearest convenience store if you need something in a pinch. 10 minute drive to Granlibakken for families with little ones wanting to sled or take ski/board lessons. Same to get into town for restaurants.

Well maintained and perfect location
My brother and I visited for a little reunion to visit some of our favorite neighborhood haunts from our childhood. The cabin is in a perfect location - close to the beach, hiking in the forest, and close enough to Tahoe City but without the crowds. It’s spacious and clean, the neighborhood is quiet. The host made us feel welcome and helped with an internet outage that was affecting the neighborhood. We had a great time and wish we Could have stayed longer!

Classic Boat Concours d’ Elegance
I have rented this property several times over the years. This is a newer cabin with 3 full bathrooms (very rare). The cabin is quite nice and in a great location. The furniture is a little dated but comfortable, the beds are good, but feel they would be better served with two singles instead of the bunk bed. Overall the cabin is very comfortable and well equipped.

Great west shore cabin
The property management team was great! The place is a few blocks from the beach and some great hiking trails! A fun and quiet spot only a few miles from Tahoe city and even less to sunny side which has some great views and is right on the lake! Definitely a really fun spot!

Perfect family Tahoe home
Stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend with a family of 6 adults. Had an absolutely wonderful stay. The home is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen, bathroom, and for games! They even had cable for our football-watching dad. Close to the beach that is dog-friendly. Also close to Tahoe City where you can go out to eat or buy groceries. Neighbors were nice and owner was communicative and friendly. Had a really great stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Spacious, clean ,well equipped cabin that would be great for families.
We arrived to a clean , spacious , well equipped cabin after a pleasant contact from Starr .our hostess , who was available throughout our stay and responded rapidly to the small problems we encountered . The location is a block off the highway 89 , but we were not aware of any car or truck noise . It was only two blocks from the lake where there was a nice bench adjacent to Fleur du Lac . The neighbor hood was a great mixture of old and new Tahoe architecture with rustic cabins and very attractive more modern and bigger homes . We had a great time relaxing and hiking , and saw a bear chased through our front yard by a neighborhood dog . We had about four inches of snow come down which made the area more beautiful . Don’t miss the gnome trail hike if you go here . We would happily return to this cabin ..
