What's nearby

  • The dock of the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion on the shore of Lake Tahoe in Sugar Pines Point State Park. The lake is magical in itself, but sitting there enjoying the entirety of the scenery is breath-taking. The mansion tour is US $12 and a very nice docent led exploration. The grounds have a lot to see as it is a part of a larger state park. Cheaper than the Vikingsholm tour nearby and much less crowded.

And close to skiing. Really big and roomy. Kids had a great time playing in snow in backyard and building snowmen! The furniture was beautiful and all very comfortable. The loft upstairs was huge and a great place for teenagers to have own space. Will definitely use again!!

Enough space for family of 6. Having 3 full beds and baths on downstairs was perfect for us since we were traveling with elderly parents and active kids. Property was secure, front yard and backyard are enjoyable. We were surprise to see gadgets and supplies in kitchen. Overall we loved our stay here and highly recommend it.

Knobcone Cabin was Awesome

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming cabin nestled in the serene surroundings of Lake Tahoe and it was an unforgettable experience. The neighborhood was quite and peaceful. The cabin was perfectly situated, offering easy access to both the lake, nearby hiking trails and biking trails. It was secluded enough to provide a sense of privacy and tranquility, yet close to amenities. The cabin itself is beautifully maintained and well equipped with all the modern conveniences. The decor adds a cozy touch, making it feel like a true home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were incredibly comfortable and the living area was specious. The deck is a great spot for morning coffee or evening BBQ's. Our stay at this cabin was so wonderful we have already booked it for next year.

Reviewer Comments: My childhood friends and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our reunion at Knobcone Cabin in Homewood (West Lake Tahoe) and I can't say enough about how amazing the experience was! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty of the location. Nestled among the towering pines with views of the lake and mountains nearby. The home itself was spotless and beautifully decorated, with every amenity you could possibly need. The cozy living room with its fireplace made for the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare all our meals. The bedrooms were spacious and I had a beautiful night’s sleep every night. I loved waking up to the crisp mountain air and the serene surroundings. The location was perfectly centralized for our planned activities– just a short drive to Chambers Beach, the Rubicon trail, and local restaurants. There is a grocery store conveniently located just 10 minutes away. Whether you're looking to river raft, explore the great outdoors, or simply unwind, this place has it all.
